You have to realize that Once Nintendo announces an actual hard core graphical powerhouse from AMD, that hard core players demand third. AND announce top games that are actually coming to the system from third parties people will take Nintendo seriously. Wii, and Wii u did not have that, if Nintendo pulls through so will players.
My 4k tv make some of my ps3 cartoon games look awesome also my ps4 and xbox one so, ill by it.
I see Nintendo is going to surprising a LOT of people. Except Sony and Microsoft. They are NOT taking Nintendo's 4K rumors lightly. They are getting ready to counter with their own 4k versions of consoles.
Nintendo will have an advantage, they will not have a fragmented market. So things may get interesting.

Thats because the movies are still being filmed in 2k at best. Once you see a true 4k move (the players START at 400$) and just launched last month. You will see hugh differences. I have people that have seen my tv and cant wait to get one. Ahead of getting a new car at that.
huh? The 65 inch 4k TV I got in May 2015 is now down from 8,999 dollars to 2700 dollars. un65js9000. I would call that a sign you should not be so sure.
And HDR blu-ray just launched which makes mad max look super nasty. It's catching on. I have friends that can barely afford consoles that are foaming at the mouth to get one. So I think it will catch on fast. If you check all the store they are having FIRE sales on 1080P tv's to clear inventory.
Nice interview, sure. But the problem is the fans that loved Final Fantasy have been clamoring for a turn based Summon spelled JRPG that is not trying to convert people to western, and or action style RPG's. Square started it slowly with FFX, and then going forward since the PS2 Era ended.
They had a great chance to switch back with the remake but decided to continue to try, and force people to buy a action rpg.

No more hope for me! I'm looking forward to the flood of turn based that I'm already behind on! Glad I finished THE LEGEND OF HEROS TRAILS OF COLD STEEL last night! 142 hours! Now that game had a EPIC twist without killing the main sweetheart!
Cloud was cast as a cold hearted mercenary that only cared about getting paid. And in fact during dialog worked for who ever hired him. He cared at the end but that is is characterization.
WELL Said KENTBENTME. Square =refuses since FF9 to make a game like one through nine on traditional consoles. And they up till now have not gottten sales like 1-9 either. I guess they are determined to force everyone to go turn based(forgetting that other companies exist and have taken their turn based lunch money).

huh....to each his own. It was the only thing that I DIDN'T like about the game. Made me want to forget it.
In fact because of that I'm going to wait instead of buying gears Day one this year. If it has stuff like that in it I will skip it. If after a week no one is saying cheap crap-tacular stuff like that happens then I will get it used 5 dollars cheaper.

WRONG darthv72 Look at history Sony niether denied of Confirmed the PS4 a few years ago or the specs of the PS4 a few years ago. And it turned out PS4 was the one with superior specs and graphics. By a lot so that did not work out did it?
Real thinkers realize that if you DENY specs then all a person has to do is make a higher or lower guess and then have you deny it until they have you figured out. So they just dont let you have the first guess.
