Actually Sold to consumers does matter. If you are not selling to customers, then shipped numbers will also suffer since retailers won't be ordering more.
Sold through numbers also give companies an idea of how much they need to manufacture to meet demand.
Funy how he's only complaining about the Indie games on the PS4, yet doesn't say anything about the ones on Xbox One.

Spencer was praised for his acknowledgement of Sony and Nintendo during their press conference. So I don't know what you are getting at?
If X1 is a dud in Japan they really should pull out and invest that money in new studios. I don't understand how their investors let them bleed money in this region.

PS+ is $10 cheaper yet they release 6 games every month and haven't reused any games.
Xbox releases 4 games for $10 more, and Xbox One reuses 1 game for 2 months since they started.
