im tryin to get in the field too, but right now all i know about is character modeling and basic stuff like photoshop and flash for designs...for the modeling i use maxon cinema 4d and 3d studio max...im gonna learn those programming language and stuff soon...i was also trying to find a good website for practice but i dont know any good ones

imo rainbow six is more customizable than cod, its just that cod has more simple controls and is easier to play..rv6 is more about tactics instead of run and gun...in r6v u can choose to put a silencer on at any time and u can switch from single shot, 3-round burst, fully auto [which ever feature the weapon u have has] at any time and has night & thermal goggles on the fly...in cod4 u have to unlock these 1st of all then u can only pick and choose to ...
i was dying for new info on this game...last thing i head was a "blue map pack" for r6v that was supposed to have 2 new weapons, maps, and ranks but it never happened
san andreas had them with the little basketball, pool, arcades and weight lifting stuff
i wanna see some skateboarding maybe, a better basketball system, etc.
and since its based on nyc, i wonder if ill know my way around the city and how accurate the locations really are
most of the games people say should be goty mostly have flaws, and you have to take the texture pop ins and inconsistent frames rate ME has into consideration, CoD4 is an awesome game all around, has an awesome online component, the only flaw was that single player was too short...add the fact that cod4 is on 4 platforms and ME is on a single platform and cod4 becomes a serious goty contender...but i wouldnt be surprised of halo3, bioshock, mass effect get goty tho..
ive seen it in gears of war and rainbow 6 vegas and all these games use the unreal engine...it didnt really take away from the game experience but it might bother some people
not exactly, i was watching one of the video reviews and it says all it does it borrow elements from recent heavy hitters...the graphics DO look awesome tho...best ive seen so far...i wonder if mgs4 will top this

its getting high scores across the board because its an rpg mixed with shooters so its trying something new...and since its also an rpg it has an expansive dialog system that hasnt been done before..it also lets you explore an entire galaxy, besides spore [if its even coming out still], what other game lets you do that? on pc or any other console?..oh and the game looks really good...its not amazing tho, its got an unsteady framerate and with all those pop in textures that i see alot with the...
lets not forget about the glitch infested gears of war and the high scores it got when it came out
FPSs - in every level all you do is run around shooting....shooting, use a power up once in a while, get on a vehicle and do some more shooting
Platformers - run around, jump around, collect power ups...so what else is new?
RPGs - dont even get me started on this...if u play rpgs and cant see the repetition then i dunno what to say...hint: leveling up characters
Racing - dont need to say much
we already know about UT3 and GoW...i wanna see something special, there are companies using UE3 in better ways than epic is and i wanna see epic just make a game that says "this is how you use UE3"
