Good to see R:FoM get some tv time.
Gaming can be competitive, but it's not a sport.
There's not much physical exertion besides picking the right buttons quickly. It's mainly mental, like chess.
Gaming is at least a notch under Curling, Billiards, Golf, Croquet, etc. when it comes to rating it as a sport.
I don't know how the concept of remastering a PS1 title loses so many people. Is it that difficult to understand? You up the resolution, textures, framerate, etc... just like they do with the PS2 games.
Do people really think it's impossible to remaster a PS1 game or something? Just look at Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Compared it to the NES version and there's your answer.
I'm definitely more interested in remastered than replaying them on PS1/PS2. Can't wait for Metal Gear Solid: Collection with MGS 1, 2, and 3.
I didn't jump on the original, because I had a Motorola already, but I'd probably get this if it were bundled with a game I liked.

I know IGN gave it a 3/10, but it definitely doesn't look that bad. I don't have Move, but this game looks pretty fun. From this video review, it looks between a 6/10.

Great that you're a PS2 fan, but how could you think that when:
#1. PS3's exclusives are already up there with the all-time best consoles, not even counting what's still to come.
#2. It's getting a lot of PS2's great games, in HD, with extras like trophies, 3D, Move support, etc.

Orange Box for PS3 isn't 'bad'. Yes the framerate gets out of wack at times.. but that's why it double saves. If it starts getting out of wack, you don't load up the out of wack save file, you load up the secondary file and you're good to go until it happens again.
From what I can remember, Half-Life 2 and Portal each got crazy on me about 5-7 times. That's it. Not fun, but not a deal breaker when we're talking days of good gameplay.. and like ...
I think the buttons and flip out controller are a cool addition to a phone to play Roms easier, but overall the phone itself.. the design and its feature don't look too special. Plenty of phones have those specs already.
So it would be the cheapest next-gen optical disk player on the market? Let alone playing 3 generations of gaming disks, CDs, SA CDs, DVDs, SD cards, USBs, Wifi, 7.1 surround sound, etc.?

They'd taught old features as new, never before seen (Like the iPhone 4's features for example, even though the EVO 4G already did everything and more besides the higher resolution screen). It would probably be:
*Thinner
*Lighter
*Underpowered, like the Wii of the next generation
*Overpriced
*M for Mature games would probably be censored like how they ce...
I don't see any good argument from you for the consumer of DD.. just that you'll have to pay more.

The way I see it, the games I buy Used, I most likely wouldn't be buying New anyway, but by buying them Used off someone who buys them New, they're then freed up to buy more New games.

I would hope it's not Digital Distribution. I usually buy Used, depending on how much I expect to play a game, so that goes out the window.
As a DD supporter, you want to buy years old games for half price still Close_Second? I'd rather pay ~$5-10 and have the physical disk to resell at a similar price if I wanted to.
If it were DD only, I'd probably only buy like 3 games instead of 20-30+ that I'd normally buy as a supporter of the Used marke...

I definitely wouldn't be interested in a touch screen gaming system. I have a touchscreen phone and gaming is a chore. Your thumbs block part of the screen, you miss buttons because everything's flat, etc.
Buttons own touch any day of the week when it comes to gaming.. with the technology we have now at least.
