Is it just me or did 2010 just fly by. Honestly, it went out in the blink of an eye.
I played ME2 recently and imo it was overrated. Now that I play it and the hype has died down, it really isn't all that great. Just a shooter with very light RPG elements. It is by no means bad, but it as great as I used to think it was. UC2, on the other hand, is still as great as ever. I doubt ME2 will be GOTY.
In fact, I doubt any game released in the first half of the year will be GOTY. GOTY are normally those released towards the end of the year when most reviewers ...
I don't like ESRB. In my opinion, they have way too much power over what devs can and can't do.
Honestly, if you don't have a PS3 you're missing out on the best games of this generation (a lot more than if you didn't have a 360). ANy realy gamer should have a PS3 by now.
I'd like to hear what exactly makes the 360 better? Halo? Gears? and...hmmm... what else?
On the other hand, here's the PS3-
-Bluray
-HDD in all consoles
-web browser
-Wifi
-Most first party devs
- GOTY for 2008 and 2009 (LBP, UC2)
-Genre defining exclusives (and plenty of them)
- PS Move is made for the core, not the casual
etc, etc.
But it's the first full GT game this generation. The demo alone sold 4 million+ and GT has always been the series that pushes PlayStation sales (GT for PS1 and GT3 for PS2).
I'm not bashing Halo Reach, not at all. Personally, I'm really excited about it as I really enjoyed the beta and I like the Halo Universe. All I"m saying is I disagree with what MS is saying.
IMO, GT5, SC2, and GOWIII are/were all much more anticpated. SC2 is the sequel we've been waiting for 10 years. GT5 is the first full GT title (which happens to be the PlayStation brand's main franchise) and has been awaited for 5 long years. GOWIII was the resolution to GOWII's epic cliffhanger.
Halo Reach will no doubt be great, but it's just another Halo. All the game I listed above are much more anticipated imo.
Yep, the 360 Slim effect seems to be fading out. I'm sure the arcade release will make for another spike in sales, but then it'll be back to where it was.
The PS3 has no one face to it. Unlike MS and Nintendo, The PS3 is made for everyone. You can find AAA games that will appeal to almost any type of gamer. LBP, UC, GOW, KZ etc, etc.
Wow blaze, calm down man. The disagree button is for people who disagree with your opinion. Everyone can have an opinion, but not everyone has to agree with you.
Hey man, it's an OPTION. They're not forcing you to use it (like the wii) it's just option to add a more varied game experience. Don't want it, don't use it. Personally, I'm excited to see how they would implement it. Might turn out to be great. Especially with 3D.
Wow, PS3 devs are by far the best. Infamous 2 will be to inFAMOUS what UC2 was to UC.
As long as Halo is free, I doubt anyone will pay for COD. This is why Bungie is a respected dev. They care about their fanbase unlike Activision.
If it's not an FPS then how can it be Halo Killer. Besides, in terms of sales and multiplayer, COD4 killed Halo a long time ago (although COd5 and 6 sucked compared to 4 imo).
Why compare it to UC2? Why even compare it to any PS3 game at all when you know it's not even close. Gears 3 will be a great game, and I'll be buying it day 1 for my 360. I'm really excited about it but there is absolutely no need to compare it to PS3 exclusives.
Just too many games for Ps3 owners.
I'd recommend Alan wake as either a rental or a $40 game. Good game.
While I agree that only Sony's first party devs can match each other, multiplat/xbox 360 devs take inspiration from these Ps3 exclusives and try pushing their games even more. Remember how Gears 2 cover system was made better thanks to Uncharted? That's what I'm talking about.
Developers competing to outdo each other is beneficial to everyone. Both games will be great and I will be buying both day 1.
@tigersnake
Aren't save files stored in the Game card itself. Anyways, I wouldn't risk my life over a DS. They're pretty cheap anyways.
