Gears 1 was great, but Gears 2 just didn't live up to the hype imo. It an above average game, but inferior to the first. The only great thing was horde mode. I don't know why, but I just didn't enjoy the SP as much. And the amazing graphics from the first game were no longer as impressive in the second given that we had already seen far superior games on the PS3. I'm looking forward to Gears 3 though. It looks great.
uhh... I hate claptraps so much.
Uncharted 2 has the most awards ever, and it's the most praised game since Half-Life 2. That is a fact.
@baseball fan- Yep, it was a horrible year for gaming... if you only have a 360. For everyone else it was great and full of amazing games.
lmao, that was hilarious.
Anyways, I agree that the AC Brotherhood and Ghost Recon look great, but that's about it.
What's with all the hate towards AC? There's only been 2 games, and the 2nd one is where the series got better. How the heck can it get stale if the 2nd made the series better?
Limbo is good, but what's with all this hype. IMO, it's way too overhyped. Yea, it's good, but come on, there's been FAR better DL Games on both XBLA and PSN.
There is no value in Kinect. $150 for a laggy, casual, buggy two player experience that has been done before with a $30 PSeye? No thank you.
Who the heck even cares what casual like or don't like (unless you're a stock holder). We are gamers, so we should care about the GAMES.
Kinect is purely casual, simple games. MS has not shown a single core game yet 360 fans keep hyping it up.
I can come to only one conclusion: 360 fans supporting kinect are all casuals... or extreme fanboys.
On PS3 maybe. I don't see how it'd work on the 360 unless they remove the motion based part of the game. Kinect is way to limited to handle something like this.
Along with KZ3 (at least for me).
On 360 it'll probably be Halo. Overall, it'll obviously be CoD. CoD 3 platfroms versus Halo reach on 1. Overall, I think Halo Reach will reach 8-10 million (in around 3-4 years) million lifetime copies. Black Ops will probably reach 20-25 million (in 6-8 months).
I used to play for hours at times, but I can't anymore. Don't know why, but I just don't find the inspiration to play for more an 1 to 1 1/2 hours max. I still love gaming, but I just can't play as much as used to.
You had a hard time playing them becuase you don't have a PS3.
Oh I see, that makes sense. Still, it sounds weird, but it doesn't matter. The game will no doubt be great.
I don't understand why it's called Arkham City and not Batman: Gotham or Gotham City.. I'm pretty sure the city is not called Arkham.
Don't forget Gran Turismo 5 and LBP2
It was the same way last year. Games getting pushed back to avoid competition. Think about it, Gran Turmismo 5, COD Black Ops, LBP2, and AC Brotherhood are all coming out in November. Reach is coming in September. Who in their right minds would try to compete with those titles?
I'm definitely excited about Reach. Whoever played the beta knows how solid the MP is and I'm really looking forward to the SP since it's based on a pretty good book
. In fact, other than the KZ2 MP, Halo is the only other FPS I really like to play online. I'm not really into CoD or Bad Company.
They should include the weapon wheel in SP and only allow two weapons in MP. Wouldn't that solve the problem. Honestly, R2 was inferior to Resistance in almost every way except graphics (though the atmosphere in the first game was a lot better).
There's a reason Sony has stuck to the same design for 15 years. It works well, and is great for games. The only thing the 360 controller has is the triggers, but that's it.
The 360's face buttons are too plastic and get stuck easily, the analogs are stiffer and their positioning is not ideal, the bumper buttons are too small, the D-Pad is horrible, and the battery pack is way too huge. I don't understand why people would say the 360 gamepad is better.
