I have seen a few of these on TV. I think showing fun games is probably a better decision, but I do like the atmosphere of this commercial. If i didn't already have a PS3, it would make me wonder what I was missing.

Did anyone else have a hard time downloading this? It took FOREVER! In fact, its only 60% done right now and I started it five hours ago. My 360 usually DL's demos really fast (especially compared to PS3).
I've wondered about this. I can only IMAGINE how angry I would be if the objective of a game was to kill Americans. All you can do is vote with your wallet.

I respect your view. You think its worth money. Then I think you should be able to pay. I, do not think its worth money. Make a free version then that allows me to play online like, oh, EVERY OTHER PLATFORM AVAILABLE (PC, PS3, Wii, PS2, NDS, PSP).
Murkerr . . . thats good and all, but I don't even care about home. NONE of that even matters to me, and I am a pretty hardcore gamer. Imagine how meaningless it is to most people then. PSN as it is right now delivers more than enough from me (except those few hiccups with Socom online and LBP). PSN also delivers downloadable games above and beyond what I ever expected.
Have to admit, I am happy about Netflix on NXE, even if the only things you can watch are a year old.

I have both systems. I see no more value in my Live experience than in my PSN experience. If you want to charge for those VERY FEW extra things like private chat . . . go ahead. On PSN, I play game with people fine. There is absolutely NOTHING I miss on PSN.

LBP Outscored it . . . sorry. But yes, Gears of War 2 will be the ultimate seller this holiday. It deserves it, its a GREAT game.
It's amazing how much money MS can throw into advertising. I have seen so many Gears of War 2, Banjo Kazooie, and Fable 2 commercials. It's just incredible. You want MS on your side.
