I think you are not aware of Sony's fiscal condition. PlayStation is the only division of it that gives profit.

LG also does not guarantee profit in the sale of software for the next five years. All the profit of a smartphone is in the act of selling the device. Nintendo could have made better hardware or made the current cheaper.

I agree with your reasoning but Sony does not need to rush with PS5. PS4 is a successful console, its dominance will only grow. Only companies with failed consoles need to advance a new generation.
