Well one superman has 4 rings and is one of the top 3 centers of all time. One made the NBA change the goals to support his monster dunks. And the other has broad shoulders and sharp elbows.

How does MSN forget the PC market? If WoW has 14.5 million active subscribers, how many purchases do you think were made? And if you count subscriptions as sales they would be in the top 5.

You think it's too low? I'm sure they could do 64 player. Then they could raise the minimum requirement to a Core i7 and an Nvidia 285/ ATI 4870. Charge about $5 a slot for the beast of a machine to host the server.

Is this what they did in the new Allstate commercial? I paused the commercial with my DVR and couldn't figure out how the #%$#! they did it.

Or maybe even a 5760p

Probably because acceptable frames per second is relative. I am accustom to playing 70-100s of frames per second. If I drop into the high 50s, I think something is wrong with my box. I can't stand to play a game at 30fps. It might as well be a power point presentation with picture slides.

FINALLY! Somebody using nextgen power to focus on a FPSs game play over graphics. I hope it doesn't feel like a giant arcade style death match.

Quake2 using Open GL lighting? It is the reason I bought a "3d accelerator" card. Unreal and Q3A were amazing milestones also. Anybody ever play Farcry?

It is about time they refresh those old ass monitors and those ridiculous prices.

All those gflops are great but ps and xbox are limited by old video technology. It doesn't matter how many gflops you have on paper if after many years you can only squeeze out killzone @720p and only 30fps.

I haven't played any single player. I never play any FPS single player. And up until last night EVERY f$*@king game I played was one of three small maps. I guess it was just some weird coincidence. Since then I have played some beautiful outdoor maps that are very impressive. I really like the one that is like a mars volcano.

has alot going on screen. but the majority of the maps seem to consist of small rooms, corridors, and stairs. I have never seen such restrictive map design in an fps. at any given time you can't see 85% of the map in multiplayer. I think this is how they maintain frames.

You could run Crysis on a 200 dollar card if the Feild of View was as small as Killzone 2. It is like your soldier has no peripheral vision and only one eye. Eveything else is great but the FOV is annoyingly small.

ahem, Nehalem.

Your probably limited by your CPU.

Crysis, Farcry, GTA IV, AmrA II, BF1943, and the new Flashpoint. These are the games I am buying a Nvidia 285 and Nehalem to play on my 24" monitor @ 1200p. I can play these games now on my c2d 2.4ghz and 8800GTS @ 1080p resolutions and medium settings, but they look like they do on my dated 360. Crysis and Farcry don't look nearly as good as all the high resolution, high settings, screen shots I have seen in hardocp.com benchmarks. I wouldn't count on having a library of dx11 games ...

I like the game change in the middle of the map. It beats going to matchmaking or load screens. VIP wasn't any fun in counterstrike. I doubt it will be much different here.

If Valve is such a mediocre dev and the ps3 is the new hotness, why are so many fans getting their panties in a knot over Gabe's comments?

That is such an annoyance. A couple years ago I noticed my DVD had a lot of scratches. I was constantly laying it on top of my desk to install something else. I ended up ripping the DVD into an ISO to preserve my disc. Now I just mount the ISO to a virtual drive to reinstall/play from.

It is going to be a difficult month for my wallet. I might be eating bread and water before my next payday.
