I've seen this thing, and it's real. Most of my students who play videogames on a regular basis tend to be better decision makers than their peers.
Used games equal to piracy in my opinion, and piracy has been one of the biggest catalysts in the market, it all falls on the developers, some might be encouraged to make a better game and hence make more sales, others would much rather have their game surrounded by DRM or ridiculous one-time-use codes that bind to your account.
RDR has zombies?
STALKER had some kind of "zombie" infestation too, even though they welded guns, moaned and weren't blood thirsty.
Infamous is a sandbox action game.
Arkham Asylum was miles better than Infamous btw.
Batman:AA was a huge hit because no one expected it to be and also due to the fact that the gameplay had some huge variety, it never felt repetitive and the Challenges where a great addition to the game, but I think the game shined when it came to it's well plotted storyline. Paul Dini (the same writer of Batman: The Animated Series) made probably one of the best Batman novels out there, also - I liked the fact that the game focused on Arkham instead of Gotham. Too many open world games n...
It's amazing how N4G has complete hatred towards VALVE, just because it's not an exclusive company to SONY.
Grow up and see the truth, if UC2 had to be optimized in an FPS it would loose all it's detail. I don't see no PS3 developers giving out FREE updates and complete DLCs to their games. I haven't seen anyone developer except for VALVE who actually releases frequent updates to their 6 year old engine, such to make it better than most of the "hi-def...
this will probably be better than HAWX2
I found the Witcher to be a bargain at 30euros
7$ is just a steal
ha!
just because your ram can work at an incredibly fast rate it doesn't mean it's good.
the PS3's RAM is like fifteen Excavators with only one small plot of land to work on.
and nvidia will follow...
...it's about time to say the least - Steam is fastly becoming this centralized system which will make PC gaming bigger than it ever was
now they only have to reduce the european prices and make them fair for the market.
I see your point, but hey I'm pretty sure Valve has an explanation for this, I see a lot of potential in this idea, let me give you a scenario:
"Some kid has a gaming PC, he doesn't own a Visa yet and his parents don't want their card details on some private gaming network whose son has access to. As a birthday gift they could give him 50€ to spend, instead using it off the card the money is on steam - thus everyone's happy"
I have a gift for you!
Apple's gaming industry although large, doesn't hold any real treat to the larger gaming industry:
1. it's a mobile device, this might hold a treat to the PSP or the DS,
2. then again I don't see people buying and iPhone for gaming, iPhones have become more of a status symbol than a phone actually.
This guy seems to have been recently dumped.
From the article itself:
"[...]those sales only show physical purchases they do not show the direct downloads from retailers like Steam[...]"
I rest my case
moreover I've seen a great incline in favouritism for the PC recently
that's what I'll be using this service for I think, my 16 year old nephew has just got his own personal gaming pc, since he lives far away I wouldn't know what to buy him - this is the perfect present in my opinion.
the steam development group has no tie-ins with Valve per se, they might be the same company but they fall in different categories.
You're like complaining because a graphic designer is improving his illustrations instead of making account ledgers. Kind of stupid aint it?
There is no win without fail in my opinion. Great design innovation is a a hard thing to achieve in certain cases and sometimes one might fail in the process.
"Maybe this has changed in the last 10 years but North Americans typically have more expendable income than their European counterparts. (as a whole)"
I've lived for a short period in the US, sure wages are a tad higher than mainland europe and there's a far bigger market, however considering the wage of the average Joe, compared with what he has to pay to live a suitable lifestyle in the US and the EU (West - since East is by miles cheaper) there is a huge ...
seven days? I thought the second part will be released tomorrow
darn it!
