definitely a must-see for those who got portal2 on their ps3 - the best thing is that unlike to popular belief you don't need a gazillion dollar pc to run most of these free games
I cancelled mine back in January.
It just feels like a race on who'll get the best gear first. It's not as fun as BC/vanilla was.
Also, found some more interesting facts which tie Portal 2 to Greek mythology. Check this out, http://img42.imageshack.us/...
This game was always developed with consoles and pc in mind so surely developers have no excuse to dumb the game down and make it more "accessible".
I sure do hope it won't follow the splinter cell path, ie: remove any characteristics from the series that defined it as a unique franchise and make it easier.
@macky301
instead of a dual boot why don't you run a virtual machine? easier to install/remove :)
talk about jokes, I like your hair :D
@kaveti6616 hey thanks sherlock!
ah my german is a little bit rusty but here we go:
in 1995/6 when valve was created, the casting agencies were finding models with that "supermodel"-type talent, valve wanted an everyday joe for their logo.
so they asked the agency to do so.
after finding these guys they came up with the slogan: "Open your mind. Open your eyes."
dawg, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit
although you'd pretty much fool everyone on this site :P
I sure do hope it will be integrated as you guys are saying then - I own a PS3 too
what I meant is that SONY will never give access to the STEAM store to be available on psn - doesn't make sense (from SONY's point of view)
I'm pretty sure what your #1 is...
SONY would never do that. They wouldn't let a 3rd party company be a direct competition on their own grounds.
It would be like a huge shop let some other people set up a smaller shop, who some deem better - in it's same premises.
how do you get games off psn? do you download them onto your HD? just asking you know :)
apart from that the steam's voice chat severs have been greatly improved - just yesterday I was playing co-op with my son-in-law - the quality is that on par of ts3 and vent
@JsonHenry
why would SONY let Valve do such a thing, that's just dumb reasoning
damn your avatar, I'll have to ask my wife to sing me a lullaby so I'll forget about Geralt and his awesome hair until May ¬_¬
first of are you aware that you can use the edit button? and the reply button aswell instead of littering the whole site with your useless comments.
anyway,
1. pc gaming isn't more expensive that console gaming infact in the long run pc gaming is actually much cheaper - I own a PS3 (and also a Wii)
2. consoles have larger communities because of their ease of accessability, I do see your point though companies have to appeal to their large...
funny I have qarl's texture pack installed never had any problems, you sure you're not running some out-dated version?
a scam usually entails spending large amounts of money for nothing in return
I spent 30euros for 13 games which I'll install on my laptop and thus keep me busy while I've got a free lecture at work. sounds more like a great deal than a scam to me ;)
Fingers crossed for BRINK having the same option - Valve are listed as the distributors of the game so maybe there is some hope that the PS3 version will have STEAM.
