But fake things is normal in games. Every game has fake solutions in many levels this is industry standard. Ok some gamedevs can do better but maybe for this game with more care and time was a good solution.

If you go full PC you will never regret. But if you can add a second plataform it will be ok. Consoles are nice to play too.
