I know, that's a great deal. My Plantronics bluetooth headset was $50 when i bought it. It works great for my phone and PS3 but it doesn't have a mute button like this one!

MGS4 was 6 hours long? Where did you get that from? It took me close to 30 with maybe a third of that being cut scenes. But i do agree, if a game is good, it's good regardless of length but i'm sure most would like their games to last longer than 15+ hours.

I'm planning on getting Bioshock for my PS3 but used because of the lack of replay value that I think it might have. Same thing with Dead Space. As for Fable, i'm not really that into RPG's, is this the type of game that I might enjoy? I mean, is it easy on RPG noobs?
I would have to say that GEARS would HAVE to be graded as is when released. It would definitely suck if they were overlooked while SOCOM's weren't.
I'm currently about half way through the game. I know the trophies aren't retroactive but if I continue from the point where i'm at, will I be able to receive trophies from then on or will I have to start all over?

I don't think that will happen though. PS3 and 360 are slugging it out right now and if a new system were to surface I think it would do poorly because both the PS3 and 360 have the more hardcore gamer covered. The Wii has the casual crowd covered so any system trying to compete for the casuals will get back-handed by the Wii. I don't see any new console surfacing based on how things are going now. But things can change so we'll have to wait i see i suppose.
I think Fable needs to take the spot of GEARS. GEARS 2 doesn't seem like it's a giant leap ahead of the first. I think Resistance 2 brings a lot more compared to the first. It probably wont sell as much as GEARS, and therefore I think that's why it'll be overlooked even though it'll be just as great. Either way there's plenty of great titles out there to make any gamer happy. So far, my GOTY is MGS4. :)
Without competition people are less likely to be pushed to do things better. Take Sony for example, would we have the PSN where it's at if the 360 and LIVE weren't around? I doubt it. Companies that compete for our dollar work harder to make us happy. Competition is a good thing for us.

As for GT:P, it wasn't priced at full retail, it was $40 when released, not $60. With that $40 customers received one of the best, if not best, looking racers out there with a good amount of cars, tracks and online play. If people didn't think it was worth it they didn't buy it. It's a prologue.
You could say whatever you want GAM71. The Wii has been king in Japan all year followed way behind by both the PS3 and 360. PS3 has topped the 360 for probably more than %75 of the year I would say. So when people say just wait for "X Game" to come out they are assuming sales will go back to normal for the PS3 and 360. People are also banking on LBP and WKC to do well in Japan and therefore increasing sales of software and hardware.
Fanboys in general say wii games don't sell so lets not let the 360 fanboys off that easy.
Anyhow, with so many Wii's being sold one would think they'd be killing with the attach ratio. Unfortunately, they basically only have 1st party games that are good. And is Wii sports included in that ratio? It does come with every Wii correct? I'm just curious if it was used to determine the ratio.
360 appeals to gamers whereas the PS3 appeals to gamers as well as those interested in Blu-ray. If you're only interested in games you more often then not might lean towards the 360. If you want both, the PS3 is the best option for not that much more.
