Gears will always reset the bar for graphics, seeing as...
1. Gears 1 set the benchmark on consoles...
2. Thats what Epic is about...
3. When people think of Gears...its about graphics. Its burned into their brains...first impressions are a lasting one.

I don't think they're scared because they seem to be setting the trend that others follow. I'm thinking their mentality is "Whatever we do, and if we're successful, others will imitate."

The 360 is the one that outsold Wii in February.
We'll see what happens. Honestly, the only game I've played so far this gen that actually takes advantage of the hardware of the respective console is the Uncharted franchise. I don't think I've seen a blurry texture anywhere. The next time I play it I'll check and see. Lost Planet might be another game...it might of taken advantage of the 360, I can't remember that either. Most people, I assume, are the ones besides the millions of people that have no problem paying it. And where is this guy getting $180 from? Is he talking monthly or yearly? Nevertheless, I wonder what the ones that say this will fail, will say if it doesn't?

Are you kidding? Gears is guaranteed to sell at least 5 million. That number is the franchises install base, it won't slip under that. Unless Gears 3 does something drastically stupid.

Pfftt...The "Move" is so parallel to the Wii-mote, that its amazing people are actually loving it and at the same time hated Wii. In other words Sony is competing with Ninty because MS is on some different level from the formers.

I agree with you, but I don't agree with the title of this article. Crysis is the Graphics king and hasn't been beaten yet and has been out, going on 3 years now. What gives? Now if they want to say the "best artistic design king" then I would let the title get a pass. But I still feel as though Crysis's technical prowess surpasses that of art.
