I'd be happier if they stayed on par, and there was heaps of competition to release well planned, well thought out and genuinely fun games.

Despite haze, I am still happy with my ps3 purchase. The games I am interested in are generally developed by Japanese companies, and since the 360 isn't boding well in japan, I doubt that there would be many future releases in comparison to the ps3 in the genre I like.
A little harsh no? I'd blame management more than the people who worked the individual parts.
If you spent two years on what you yourself would consider a piece of art. Then release your baby into the harsh and horrible world, only for people to shun it and call it ugly- you'd be feeling pretty crappy too!

the only thing going for me was the Coop- the other features really didn't mean much to me.
I just wanted to play games with some of my family and cousins - coz thats what makes games fun for me.
The reviews are all over the place. Its getting so inconsistent.
I am going to have to resort to just damn playing the game for myself for every single release game dammit. Thats the way we did it back in the day, and thats how I think it should be done today.
edit: Its so difficult to discuss with people who disagree and do not give reason. Just state your reasons, they are probably valid, and wouldn't really give me a reason to refute them. Unless they were absurd...
I am with sonarus. Buying games is a big decision for me. It has to be in the area I like, or just mind numbingly great.

To be Honest, COD4 is the only FPS game I like thus far. I am not a FPS junky, so fps games are generally a rental for me...
I hope MGS4, doesn't fall into the fps side of things. Story is very important to me, as well as eye candy.
I like N4G coz its like a hub where all the news ends up going...
But filtering out the crap is becoming a chore to. Ah well thats what the internet is all about i guess.

without considering the system requirements (I am not making an either way statement here because im not qualified to do so), Konami would have to split the game into several discs. I believe that when Kojima said that 50gb was almost not enough space, he was being honest.
In this day and age, multi disc games dont bode too well with users.
Since everyone, including myself, can sometimes be a real pain in the arse to developers!
I don't care what it takes. Just as long as games are well made, and are fun all round. As far as I am concerned, I made a choice and that was my ps3. I still am very happy about the purchased.
