Solid Snake is not Sony character, its Konamis and Solid Snake appeared on other platforms before SSBS. Sony has nothing to do with Snake.

Master Chief is MS character, owned by MS, not some other studio/publisher.
Deep down MS enormously respects Sony, same goes for Nintendo. just like Peter Moore said after living MS for EA. "You dont sell back to back over 100 million (PS1 and PS2)units and just utterly fail(talking about future of PS3), Sony will be fine".
