PS2 is still biggest cash cow for Sony, at least for a couple of more months. They sell it for 129, who knows how little is cost them to mass produce it?! If Nintendo was making 50 bucks on Wii on day 1, than Sony is at least also making 50 bucks on each Ps2 sold, but i would guess that they make little more than that.
I have feeling that this game will positively surprise but due to 2 much bashing of it on internet, it wont sell as well as it could.

I think media and gamers bash this game for no reason. Maybe because it is on PS3? Dunno. But i dont remember any one of developers/publisher folks calling it Halo killer. Its usually that same media idiots that call it that way, and than wait to under perform to slaughter that certain game. Pathetic.
Give it a chance, it comes from very solid developer that has very very good DNA history. From Golden eye for n64 to deus ex, its not like they over night forgot how to make games.

WOW and this is only retail (blue ray) sales, only Sony knows how many more were sold as download version. And guess what, this is ONLY prologue with 60 cars. Imagine full version!! GT4 had 600 cars, GT5 will if i remember correctly have 700 and what was confirmed recently there will be car damage!
