Just get a Playstation and get the best of both worlds, and you won't miss out on any modern releases.
It's without question the best console to get this generation and it's all thanks to Microsoft.

This is why I want Xbox to die, because back when Playstation was dominant and everyone was part of the same ecosystem, gamers loved games for their quality alone.
Now we have clowns like you that have to convince themselves every game that isn't made by the corporation they worship is f**king terrible and should never be given chance. Also, let's ignore that Xbox hasn't had any GOTY nominations in quite awhile.
There's a good chance that it may be added to the ps1 classics catalog on PS5 one day.
Gt7 is more technically impressive game than the latest Forza Motorsport in almost everyway besides some graphical effects. As some people mentioned already, the VR experience alone already puts GT7 FAR above any other sim racer on console.
I speak from experience and as someone who has been a fan of both franchises for over 15 years.

Ps5 games? Sure if you're willing to wait a year or two. Only a handful of PS4 games are available on PC.
It's still a better option than getting an Xbox, which last time I checked isn't getting Playstation games. At least on Playstation you get a unique experience thanks to the dualsense and one of the cheapest options to try high end VR games. The Xbox truly offers nothing once you get a PC.
You refuse to say anything positive about astrobot because it's made by a first-party Playstation studio, I bet if Sony own the developers behind helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade you would try to find anything out of your ass to try to bash them.

GT Sport and GT7 have not only surpass modern Forza in sound, there some of the the best sounding racing games on the market.

These dated engines have produced some of the best-looking games around. You can check out death stranding for a good example, because you'll never play anything outside of your precious box, so how would you know?
I own every console from the 6,7,8,9 generation including PC.
Besides, if you only have the choice between the high end consoles, the ps5 makes more sense. You'll get more games overall including VR games, a more high end controller, and cheaper and better storage options.
The Xbox has better backwards compatibility and quick resume and gamepass, but it's worse than getting a PC in almost every way unlike the PS5. No VR, overpriced proprietary SSD...

You guys seem to forget that the touchad is also two separate buttons and could be used to bring up menus quicker, the way it's used in Days Gone is a good example.
I'm pretty sure developers would've found clever ways to use the TouchPad and the rest of the dualsense features if Microsoft offered similar features, but they have a monopoly on PC gaming so we're forcing to use their outdated controller.
