You must have failed Math, or dropped out of math cause it was too difficult but heres an example. Xbox 360 is 499 ok. PS3 is 659. The diff is 160. Now aadd 14% tax to both of those and watch. PS3 = 752.40. Xbox 360 = 570.00. Now the difference is $182.40. 22 bucks more. So your crazy theory of when something is more money than another item, and it being the same price differencial after taxes, IS TOTALLY F***ING WRONG. WOW
I said they do charge taxes, btw learn how to spell taxes, and yes they did charge tax on the 360. So having said that, and put with your fuked up info. Xbox 360 = 499CDN. PS3 = 659CDN. So if what you say is right, which is prolly is, the PS3 is still gonna be 160 bucks more expensive, and that 160 can go towards more games, accessories, or even the HD DVD add-on coming out.

Canadians, we get to pay the nice old 659 dollars and add 14% tax to everything. i calculated it my self and a PS3 after tax is 752.40 + 2 games at 79.80 each + 1 extra controller at 68.40 comes to a grand, no pun intended, total or 980.40. So a grand for PS3, 1 controller and 2 games. WTF IS SONY THINKING

How when M$ started in the gaming industry, they knew little or nuthing about it. Now that they are highly successful computer wizards, and almost successful gaming wizards too, Sony seems to be straying away from gaming, and going more into Computers, to see if they can beat out M$. WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
If ur making a computer instead of a gaming console, than wats the point of making games for it, and wats the point of having add-on things to it. Yea i did some more looking, at found that if you go to Future Shop or www.futureshop.com and type in Blu-Ray in the search thing, it comes up with the player and like 30 movies, but some are at 29.99, most of them are at 32.99, and a couple of them are at 46.99. but really, they should just make them all at one price.
when the Xbox 360 came out and everyone told us to go play with our Power Bricks, because the AC Adapter was thr size of a brick. WHO THE FUK CARES!. I mean if you guys think that wat the size of the Adpater 360's was, wait till PS3 comes out, itll prolly be close to the same size, and why, because these systems need that power to run properly, but who cares about size, "its what's on the inside that counts".
I once went there for about 3hrs, just staring at wat LCD tv's would be awsome for my Xbox 360, then ended up looking at games for an hour, then at computers, then at laptops, and when all that time of staring at stuff, looking at specs, and not buying anything came around, I had spent close to 5hrsa at that store, looking at stuff and buying nuthing
When you look at it, they both pretty much have the equal # of advantages and disadvantages. I mean Blu-Ray has got more of a backing catalog than HD DVD, and it had 50GB of storage to HD DVD' 45. But then HD DVD is 600 bucks less, already has about 30 movies out there, and the movies will also be cheaper, and it does the pretty close to the same thing as Blu-Ray. Its going to be interesting to see which one consumers will pick, either Xbox 360 or PS3, either Blu-Ray Player, or HD DVD Player....
I mean $1300 for a movie player, and about 45 bucks a movie each, but if you look at it. If you just wait till PS3 comes out, your not only saving like 500 bucks from just buying the player, your also getting a new gaming/computer system, that apparently wont be "downgraded" now. But we will just have to wait and see how all this dvd formatting turns out.
