Just being a realist. I own a Pro because I wanted games to look as good on my platform of choice as they can be. Just like anyone planning on buying a One X. But, you shouldn't kid yourself into thinking that casual gamers are gonna drop that kind of money on a console. Maybe after price drops but not at full price.
I'll say this time and time again. These mid-gen upgraded systems are not gonna outsell the standard consoles (PS4 Slim and Xbox One S). Because a lot of casual gamers / parents will not drop the $400 - $500 on them. The Switch will sell well because it's in a different category and has a unique selling point.
True, but if they really don't care about parity, then why wouldn't they? People who have PCs that can only run the game at 30fps have to go against those that can run it at 60. So why does it really matter? Their logic/excuse is laughable at best. Here's hoping they wise up and give the mid-gen enthusiasts what they really want from their souped up consoles.
What they need to add is a 1080p/60fps mode. Or a Performance mode to boost that fps to as close to 60fps as possible. Because the PC version plays so much better at 60fps.
Hopefully they are treated with respect. Let's not have a repeat of the Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 simultaneous release dates.
Doom and skyrim on the go? Heck yeah, I'll deal with some compromise to have that portability.
*Looks at Uncharted 4 gameplay* Yeah, TLOU2 is gonna look that good.
You do realize that the Xbox One X is still an Xbox One right? Japan has never been a strong market for the Xbox Brand. Just because it's a stronger console, doesn't mean it's gonna magically make the console more appealing to Japanese gamers. I'm debating whether I wanna get a One S for $149 or buy the One X and accept the possibility of a 3 year lifespan for the console until the next gen of platforms comes out in 2020. This, of course, is purely speculation as there is no o...
I mean how is this not getting into some people's heads? I own a pro and I more than accept that the Xbox One X will win out almost every time when it comes to multiplatform performance. Let's all move on and enjoy the games that every one gets to play on their platforms of choice. Jezzus some people act like it's the end of the world.
I agree, definitely a classic platformer with lots of fun and unique weapons. I loved Spyro back on the PS1 but this was the game that made Insomniac one of my favorite game devs of all time.
Seems counter intuitive for a multiplatform game to have an exclusive beta. Hopefully it's a timed exclusive beta, or a beta for the other platforms will come out a little after the PS4 one.
The console itself is amazing, the online component is a different story. Nintendo needs to change their approach cause right now, they're doing it ass backwards.
I'm sure Sucker Punch will do the game justice. They are a top quality game developer.
Well I found the games to be fun and Kratos as a character of pure rage driven by vengeance and anger. I loved every second I played of every game, but to each their own.
I appreciate the clarification, my point being that NDs track record for is evidence that they never disappoint from a production quality standpoint.
For sure, God of War is one of my favorite franchises of all time. Never missed a single game and won't be missing this one. Loving the direction they're taking it.
Looks at Last of Us, Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 cut scenes. Yeah, this is a cinematic for sure, but it's definitely using in game assets. You clearly underestimate NDs ability to create quality games.
Insomniac is the perfect dev to handle a Spider-Man game. They're amazingly talented and know how to make a fun game. Super hyped for 2018.
He'll yeah, the first game was one of my favorite metroidvania games ever. This is great news.
@obscure
If this were the case, why would Bungie devs state they tried to push PS4 Pro to 60 and just couldn't with the increased fidelity in Destiny 2?
