All game designers can do is take established concepts and make them better than what came before.
Okay I was wrong. I've never seen anything like Noby Noby Boy ever before :)
I can't remember if it was the Dino shooter or the Resident Evil shooter, but pulling the trigger and moving with the thumb stick cramped the hand something fierce.
Ever played a light gun game?
I thought my arm would fall off after 30mins of shooting dinos (Ps2).
Look left, change camera angle etc..
That doesn't mean I wasn't also disappointed by it.
I wanted to land the dragon in a sandbox battle not be shouted at and told what to do all the time.
That kind of gameplay IS old school in a bad way. Haze had similar problems.
I bought a PS3 at launch and picked up MotorStorm and Resistance:FOM.
Loved both games and was seriously impressed by all.
No matter where I looked for PS3 news either from G4TV to IGN and Gamespot all I got was negative stories.
It was like everyone decided they had already spent enough money on the 360 and Wii and needed to trash the PS3 - kill it off so they wouldn't have to buy one.
That kind of "destroy what I cannot have" at...
The old controllers didn't have that many imputs :-)
My wife played the demo today and immediately declared the controls ridiculous...
Then she really got into it and was upset when the demo ended :-)
I'm just judging from the demo BTW.
I took issue with the target specific ammo. A bullet is a bullet and should damage what you shoot it at.
No hate for Bayonetta the GAME, but the character is creepy and off putting as a whole.
Put a bag on her tiny shrunken head and enjoy the rest :-)
and it still is, but the lines are blurring.
Xbox is going after the Wii and Playstation fans with JRPGs and motion control and Playstation is going after Wii and Xbox fans with wands and FP/TP shooters.
Wii is doing it's own thing picking up non-gamers as well as trying to keep the Mario/Zelda/Metroid hardcore happy.

New Jersey, Texas, California, Georgia...
How is it done?
That's a new complaint :-)
...and are not designed to be photo-realistic. Why compare?
A college degree is no guarantee of skill or creativity. Many graduates are flipping burgers and living with their parents these days.
You'd probably have to rent it for weeks depending on how much free time you have.
a train even existing at all in Link's world is pushing things too far IMO.
What next, a gun toting hedgehog?
I would have waited a few months until a newer version hit retail.
I would have liked to see their original vision for the game come to PC.
Consoles just don't have enough ram.
