Journalists focused on the hard only part of dark souls, and Namco Bandai banked on that by naming shit like prepare to die. A lot of people got pushed away because they assumed it's hard. Dark souls is not hard. Anyone who played dark souls knows the game for its atmosphere and lore more than anything.
