Microsoft promised surprises, but just like they did in 2009 ( http://www.xbox-scene.com/x... ), it won't happen (Other than some more "core" Kinect titles, maybe).
It's not even a contest. The PS3 blows everything else out of the water in terms of exclusives in 2011.
.
"Microsoft will continue to gain ground with the Kinect and co...
"Splinter Cell": Conviction wasn't a true Splinter Cell title, the DRM was BS, and the game in general was less than average.
I'm not surprised that it sold so bad. And I'm not at all surprised that it sold well on the 360; they shooter-fied it and people flocked.
"So, what's this fuss over exclusives?"
It's the entire reason to choose to own a platform, that's why it's a big fuss. The more exclusives, the more value to that system. Why have a system if all of its best games are on OTHER platforms?
That's why I bought a PS3 in '08, even though I owned a 360. The 360 was offering very little that was unique to itself, so I bought a system with its own original content. And honestly,...

Bobby Kotick? Ron Jeremy as Mario? *VOMITS*
Probably a mockup.
EDIT:
@Comet
LOL, oh geez.
So much integrity in this industry.
"So just a couple of days back uncharted 3 was unleashed upon the gaming community and withing minutes it became it became one of the hottest topics to be discussed throughout the gaming industry. fans of the series were overjoyed, however i remained unfazed, it just didn't excite me in the same way that its predecessor did. WHY?"
.
Maybe because you've seen little gameplay and haven't played even a sliver of it yet?
And like Shadow said,...
More anti-Killzone crap from africangamer.com.
"Halo Will Continue To Destroy The Killzone Franchise"
GTFO.
So what big Xbox 360 games were announced THIS year that released THIS year?
Go ahead, tell me, I'll wait.
.
Microsoft's "secret exclusives" will be limited to indie titles and Kinect games. Microsoft always promises secret exclusive reveals on lean years (Google "Microsoft Xbox 360 surprises 2009"....they had "Secret Exclusives" planned for that year, too).
What secrets did 2009 hold? Fable 2? ...
"Tony Hawk: Ride"
.....is this guy serious?
Well, I'm done with my copy. *Signs*
lol
Picking a best game out of an ENTIRE DECADE is pretty silly if you ask me. You got a wide range of great games of different genres and directions.
I don't think it would really make sense to pick just one.
"The same was said about 2008,2009,2010"
The PS3 was selling at a faster rate than the competition from mid-2009 to mid-2010 and portions of 2008. You can look at the total sales (and ignore the suddenly depleted 5 million gap) and convince yourself that the Ps3 isn't selling and that the year to year and a half difference didn't happen, but the Ps3 is selling fine. At a mere 3 something million gap, the Ps3 could close in as it delivers the games.
I hope all of the core/hardcore trolls who defended the heck out of Kinect on N4G are happy. 2011 isn't about you.
DAT ASS
I'm a breast man, but I do like the big booties.
All in moderation, though; I'm not horny for watermelons.
"Just stop while yall are ahead..."
You suck, Mr. C-c-c-ombobreaker :(
The Limited edition is the same price, it's just limited.
The regular edition will come when the limited ones run out.
But I can see that common FUD has won this one. Now everyone believes that you have to buy the more expensive edition of Dead Space 2 to get extraction.
Despite being from wordpress, a blog site, it will not be taken down for being an "unprofessional" blog (Unlike sites like Kotaku....right? lol) like those blogs that took issue with GT5 ratings (But we get mountains of "ZOMG TEH OVER-rated gaems list1!!1!" articles every day).
Not to mention, it's inaccurate.
Battleblock Theater and The First Templar are not Xbox 360 exclusives. The First Templar is coming to PC and Battleblock is planned to...
EDIT: (From actual article - which SHOULD have been the link the contributor posted) "Although the graphics look on the Playstation 3 products a little darker"
Top - Ps3
Bottom - 360
They made some of the textures resolutions WAAAAY too low. Some details on the walls just look downright ugly.
I was desperately waiting for Kotaku's input on this. I'm sure they have many fair and balanced things to say.

Either way, the PS3 version looks as good as the 360 version in most ways and has a more stable framerate (But with some screen tearing).
And many would argue that Mass Effect 2 has the best graphics on the 360.
And we haven't even compared the retail version yet.
Just the demo.
Fallout 3, Gears, Killzone 2, and RE4/5. Those were some awesome headshots.
Edit:
Why is Halo on the list? What's so spectacular about headshots in Reach?
