I assumed nowgamer was full of crap, knowing their track record with things PS3-related.
"Killzone 1 was hyped up to be the best game ever"
ROFL
By who?
I smell politics. The PS3 is absolutely spamming out exclusives this year, and sites are trying not to lean to far in the PS3's favor. Leaning too far scares off advertisement deals from people they're NOT currently "leaning" towards.
Where popular multiplat series, from super-rich advertisement-happy publishers, like Call of Duty get free passes on having short campaigns and decent to subpar stories, games like Killzone 3 are sent to the slaughter. COD g...
I've NEVER seen an FPS get so many complaints about the story.
Game sites are REAAALLLLY stretching it to play politics and not make the PS3 look like it's throttling the competition in games this year.
"Duke Nukem Forever: 'This is Duke like it's supposed to be'"
.....existent?
I can't wait to get fit with Mel Brooks!
...what do you mean the B doesn't stand for brooks? Really? Forget it then.
Really NOT seeing anything interesting on this list.
THIS...is a dream come true.
Bye bye, you piece of crap! I'm trading you in for Killzone 3!
Except, I might get the better version of KZ3 (If it comes with good incentives) and also get a copy of the much superior (to COD:BO, I mean) COD4.
It's the Demon's Souls series with a name change to allow it to go multiplat, because Sony owns the IP.
Ta-dah! That sure took a genius, eh?
Just some female co-workers considering making some easy money on a sexual harassment suit, lol. Seriously, though, these people really care what he Twitlongers? It's not like he went around the office picking up female co-workers, shaking them, and screaming LOL FRESH PUZZY!!!, or posting pictures of vaginas all over the office, or whatever.
This guy has had a deep, long-lasting impact on the industry. Let him say whatever the heck he wants. He's crude and straig...
Interesting form of damage control from Planetxbox360.com. Doing their very best to make sure people don't leave the Xbox 360, but trying to look legit by praising Killzone 3.
"There are still action options galore for your system, and all you have to do is shop around. True, none of them have the Helghast, but we’re 100 percent positive you’ll find something just as entertaining."
It's amazing how reviewers will give games like COD a free-pass on things like story and then eat other games alive for not being Oscar material.
"A great place for Sony to start 2011"
I guess the sequel to GOTY 2008 doesn't count? You know, the one with the 3+ million user-created levels?
"While they [the melee attacks] are a little gimmicky..."
I'll bet he squeals with glee every time he gets a chainsaw kill ...
There was definitely an identity issue with this title. Publishers (and others) tend to assume that going multiplat instantly equates to more sales, but sometimes multiplatform titles can lose their identity by just being some game releasing, and not "That game on _____ system".
But more importantly, the platforming played itself and the combat was boring and plain. And it was short. For $60. In this economy, too.
A bad game selling badly. Fan...
So much for the Kinect making the 360 sell billions over the holiday season.
"8/10 is aww? "
For an xbox fanboy troll like Ubiquitious, yes.
My PS2 slim is still alive and kicking.
PS3 is almost within kicking distance of the 360.
Prepare for the sting of the steel-toed boots of exclusive games galore, 360.
I've seen pretty mixed scores. "New benchmark of FPS genre" to "average" and everything inbetween.
"i havnt read it but do their critcisms justify their score?"
Let's just say, their first sentence says starts complaining about some people on the internets using the term "Halo killer"...
"The first game fell short of its "Halo killer" billing"
Didn't have to read past here to know where this fanboy was going with this review. Complaining about some internet fanboys calling Killzone a "halo killer" just shows how fanboy-wars consumed this guy is.
Not a great game to begin with. DRM is just the crap-frosting on a very plain biscuit.
This should be on BadJoyStick. Not that it's really "funny"
I've never seen such a big deal made about the story of an FPS in reviews. The fact is, it's all politics. Don't lean too far one way or the other, or you'll scare off certain powerful publishers from buying ad-space, sending preview items, etc. If they were to give the PS3 too much recognition, with all of the exclusives piling up, they'll risk losing out on content from Microso...
