The 3DS is overstocked, not getting enough media attention and advertisement, and doesn't have any must have games (Or even anything unique or above average).
Nintendo should SERIOUSLY know better. Flooding the market with hardware is damaging to demand. And if you're not going to release any software worth talking about, at least keep on top of advertisement.
Pretty much what I got from playing the demo.
I listened to the song, smile on my face.
Started playing, developed an upside-down smile.
Painful cutscenes, dumb AI, vanilla twin-stick shooter gameplay...
I'm surprised we haven't seen a "3DS sells out in US" article yet. I'm assuming that it hasn't, considering the big three are always on top of announcing that sort of thing as soon as possible.
US reception to the 3DS seems quite lukewarm. It hasn't sold out (If it had, we definitely would have heard it), not a single game with 85+ metascore (with only 3 past the "Mixed or Average" range, not that much advertisement or media buzz.... ...
Well that was fast.
"3D video
As a special gift, we have included a 3D video for you to enjoy"
Are they saying that making 3D videos isn't available without the update? Or are they just adding a sample video?
No! It's true, man! Just turn off the 3D effect, turn down the lighting all the way, stay at the menu, tear off the screen so that it doesn't waste power, and don't press any buttons.
Voila! 20 hours!
Seriously, 20H continuous play is ridiculous. I doubt it does even half.
I bow to the master of awesome comments.

Like I said....awesome.
If I get killed by another cross-map grenade spamming, I might just scream.
Let's see, what I've gotten for free in about a 1/4 of a year....
*Stacking
*Spyro 2
*Spyro 3
*Early Beta Access:
-SOCOM 4
-Killzone 3
*Access to several full game trials
*LBP Prehistoric Moves
*MAG "demo"
Most of that stuff is stuff I'm only going to play through once anyway; no problem that I won't get to play them in a year if I don't subscribe again (And trust me...
It's too bad Nintendo or Sony didn't make a device more like this. Then it could have some awesome games. Dual nubs, great portable design, touchscreen, keyboard......sigh.... it's a shame that Nintendo and Sony both have crackhead designers when it comes to making the layouts to their systems.
Nintendo: Just add a control nub to the same side as the D-pad on the DS, and let's go to lunch.
Sony: And we'll give in to our fans crazy demand for cont...
Gotta love his description:
"“SALES! SALES!”
Shh, can you hear that? That’s the call of a very rare bird, the Aaron Greenbird. It only comes out at night after favourable Xbox NPD numbers are released. Its squawk is high pitched and annoying but can instantly be silenced by reminding it that its nest is not the only place in the world. When confronted with worldwide sales figures its fat, balding head disappears up its own arse to only return when it’s sure there’s someth...
Guys, calm down. We've obviously intercepted a comment from the Greenberg in a parallel universe.
Maybe he's including every indie title, XBLA title, timed exclusive DLC, kinect games, and a few dozen nonexistent ones.
It sucks. I've been cross map grenade spammed to death more than I've been shot.
And people were.....they were....people were bunny hopping!!.....oh god....*HURL!*
And a focus on cover gameplay.
What happened to SOCOM?
Yes, Sony is a business. But the author's examples...
"Yet whenever Sony are rumoured to be making a sequel, it is very different. When Killzone 4 and God of War 4 are rumoured they take it on the chin and shrug it off. Some may say this Halo Remake is just a port. So what does that make the Sly, Ico and God Of War collections?"

Halo is an awful comparison to some HD collections. Halo had ODST (reselling of multiplayer, short campaign) and Wa...

One individual can only do so much to assure that an entire team of developers create the game right.
Individual metascores....doesn't really seem all that fair.
Add this to the list of "sinking ships" from CNN? lol
I think this article is overreacting, though.
1) He wasn't saying it in a negative, way, he was just making it clear where the graphics on the 3DS stand. In fact, he's just saying that it's good enough that hardcore gamers will love the graphics, but they won't be comparing them to HD consoles.
2) He said the Iphone is cheaper and does more. And at least at the 3DS's launch,...
"broader audience", eh?
Well, most software on the Wii sells like crap if it doesn't have mario on the cover. And Kinect software isn't fairing THAT well.
They're wading through risky waters by focusing on Kinect. And they're only hurting 3rd party developers by focusing on that type of audience.
"Xbox 360 exclusivity deal with Microsoft was a "business risk" - but one that reduced the technological headaches associated with making the game"
Was avoiding "technological headaches" worth selling a game with 10 years of dev time at under a million copies?
The title of this article is incredibly deceitful.
*Puts down crackpipe on 'made in the usa' coaster*
Agreed. Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the law. It's a good thing we have law abiding citizens like us that know the law.
