They're off somewhere with their tails between their legs.
The Kinect conference was a disaster and the one today was boring. Even the biggest of fanboys are incapable of twisting it, so they aren't going to bother to post.
It just gets worse and worse for Kinect. First a stupid name, then a bad conference, and now a confirmed high price.
They better not have remained proprietary....
After the first 3 or so games shown, I was bored as heck.
"I’m pretty dissapointed with Kinect and Microsoft’s conference in general. Seems like everything is focused on the casual gamer. Where are my deep story driven games Microsoft?"
My feelings exactly. MS's conference was incredibly meh and their kinect conference was a disaster.
Even GeOW3 looked so set-piece and not like the opened up combat that I appreciated in GeOW1.
And other than the space fighting, the Reach footage was so bland. ...
This game is looking pretty interesting.
It looked sort of bland until the space fighting...and that lasted for what, 3 seconds?
Probably because it's very expensive and announcing it at an event would look bad.
Until they're out of old models, that is.
Boring conference and no pricing on the Kinetic.
No price cut for the 360 and Kinetic didn't get priced.
Summary: "Kiinect"
....I think I'll actually wait to see the conferences before I declare "Forget consoles!"
MS made sure that we got the edited version brought to us by the MTV networks, owned by viacom, under a half-billion dollar advertisement contract with Microsoft.
An entire conference dedicated to it, and it didn't particularly impress anyone.
It was an utter disaster.
Oh, and we waited an entire year for Microsoft to create the magical fix where the lag would be corrected, that so many people were talking about.....still waiting.
I prefer what it was when it was called Natal, too. At least then it was theoretically a game-changer and not Wii games and Nintendogs.
Face it, the Nata- erm, Kinect conference was a disaster.
Next to none of the media came out hyping it, several media crew were twittering about their boredom and how unimpressed they were DURING it, and the games they showed were already leaked by USA Today hours beforehand!
It was basically just an acid trip used to announce what USA Today announced hours before hand.
Art needs breasts or else it is not art.
If they think they're going to get...
...The Halo/COD crowd that they built the 360 on to spend $150 on the camera...
or
...Soccer moms to spend $300 (cheapest bundle...see Gamestop) when the Wii is $100 less...
...Then they have lost it.
