Without an xbox price drop - Sony wouldn't have to really do anything special at E3, other than show up.
With an xbox price drop - Sony now NEEDS something to shift focus back onto PS4. Although, I'm not entirely sure the consumer focus is necessarily off of the PS4 - it's just important to strategically ALWAYS respond to your competition in any way you can.
