I think it mostly has to do with the involvement of Sledgehammer Games in the Advanced Warfare series rather than based off of its success alone.
Sledgehammer played a big role in MW3 and now with their own title they are showing how they are familiar but also unique in their name. Quite a smart one in my opinion.
The multiplayer reveal for Black Ops 2 was awesome. They showed the pic 10 system as well as the new shoutcasting mode. I hope that AW does the same thing, in terms of innovation.
I think we are still yet to see the scale of the change. I think the multiplayer reveal will show how vastly different it is/isn't from previous COD titles.
I sure did. The only really big difference is the Co-op and the expected upgrade in visuals.
Maybe I am just being sceptical, but I don't see this as the revolutionary change that sparks a new era of gaming. If anything I see a title that seems restricted to its franchise, unwilling to expand with unique ideas.
Yet can I be surprised by them sticking to the same formula? No, because it is the 'safe' direction that most AAA titles go. Safe minor ...
Im not convinced that its 'unlocking a new era of gaming', here's to hoping that it is less repetitive and more fun than the previous AC titles.
I loved RAAM for Gears of War 1, I just thought he was secretly badass.....
The less subscriptions the better, in my opinion. Let me just play the game I paid for.
Im still stuck playing Dark Souls one, maybe one day Ill look into getting this.
Haha classic article, Its sucks that a 'rage article' will get more attention than some other hidden gems out there but I guess that's just the way it is.
Cant wait for this game!
Oh I would love to have the PSL, I have some friends I know in that League :)
Oh I remember playing the 1993 version, need to give this a bash!
The movie was terrible and the game seems to fall into the same bracket
Well said, as a competitive console gamer I felt that Xbox have catered more to the community. The Xbox Live infrastructure was miles ahead when the previous generation of console were launched.
I think the next gen struggle will not be about TV as Microsoft initially thought and more about live streaming and online entertainment.
Microsoft is the only console investing in eSports at the moment that I am aware of.
I believe that the bigger corps like Nintendo and Sony are missing out. I think the ripple effect that competitive gaming has is much bigger than these aforementioned companies think.
I'm all for Sony and Nintendo jumping into the eSports market, but for now it seems like Microsoft are running this race solo.
Can't wait to get my hands on the Xbox One for Advanced Warfare, Halo: MasterChief collection, GTA IV redone and potentially Gears of War.
I see many hours of happy gaming ahead.
I would add Aliens Colonial Mqrines to that list, the worst game I have ever played...
I really hope Doom 4 is as awesome as its original predecessors.
I will definitely be getting an Xbox One, when my bank account allows it
All gameplay up until this point has been shown exclusively on Xbox One.
Where I see that PS4 will have the 'better specs/visuals', I believe that it will run smoother on the Xbox One based purely on the fact that its developed for it first.
