Where's the secret of no gameplay?
Open world games aren't the problem. Games becoming too cinematic is the problem. Games should not try to become a $60 movie with few hours of gameplay. The Order 1886 and the newer Naughty Dog games are a prime example of games that do this. I feel as if games are going to become too cinematic and lose the fact that it's a game than an interactive movie.

@Maul, that'd probably why you like it. It's not a JRPG, but an ARPG (Action RPG). It's not very difficult and you should do fine with it being your entry game into Action RPGs. There's isn't grinding 24/7, and the side missions + collectibles are pretty easy to find in this game. I would only get the strategy guide if you are a collector of them like myself.

NRS is doing the PS4/X1/PC versions, High Voltage (Terrible Port Developer, they did the awful MK9 on PC and Injustice Pc versions) is doing the PS3/360. They did a terrible job on Online for Injustice and MK9 as the netcode is garbage and usually force closes on PC. Be weary of the last gen version of the game, you've been warned.

Agreed that it should never return. Yakuza is everything Shenmue should have been and it's also the spiritual successor. Why bring back something old when the new does everything better?

I don't know how you all feel about this but if they decide to go 3D again, I personally feel that From Software or Platinum Games would do an amazing job.

Doubtful, it seems to be that game everyone likes because of the fact that there was a drought with games when it came out, not that it was actually an amazing game or anything. The game has way too much undeserving hype than its actually warranted.
Actually it sold 4.98 million and it also turned off the majority of the fanbase. Only casuals really liked the game as it wasn't anything like Resident Evil with its handholding, over the top Michael Bay explosions and QTE's and enough gunfights to make Call of Duty envious. The only game out of 4-6 that seemed to grasp how to move into the new generation while still trying to maintain the atmosphere of the originals was Revelations.

You also have to consider the fact that Capcom doesn't have a lot of money these days due to making quite a few bad games (RE6) (DMC) and a few others.
Since they don't have that extra money, they have Resident Evil 1 Remastered which made them quite a bit of money for a digital game, but not enough to throw millions into a bigger team to make RE Rev 2 on every system.

I don't know about that. I really don't like how Noctis and the rest of his party look like a bunch of emo k-pop band members. It really doesn't go well with the look of the world or with some of the other characters in the game like Cidney. It's not the anime hairstyle, it's the all black edgemaster look.
