@Aloy if this deal gets blocked my guess is that they will go third party, streaming with no console offering. I’m not pulling this out of my butt; Phil himself said that XBOX can’t compete in the hardware sales space so they have to look at alternatives. Why spend millions in R and D for a console that’s not going to meet your sales expectations when you can just maintain a service or publish games as a third party like Sega is doing now?

Even if they acquire Activision this ain’t going to change. People just don’t want XBOX. Since the dawn of time gamers go to where the games are at, it’s that simple. Release decent stream of decent games on a consistent basis, sell consoles. You savvy, Phil?
