For me the the last good Kojima game was MGS3 Snake Eater. MGS4 in retrospect was a weird fan service game with forced story arc closures, mgs5 is incomplete and death stranding is simply not my cup of tea.

Not really. In GOW you have to consider which enemies to take out first otherwise you can have your ass handed to you especially during a first playthrough. When I played the 2018 game I though this was rather refreshing coming from the older God of War games.
They will probably try to use the game release if earlier to hype up the movie. If the game sucks however it could boomerang. At least its not a movie tie in...we hope.
