You should see how people are struggling to sell their series consoles. This one poor soul has a series s listed for four months now and is refusing to lower the price. With the internet news travels fast, at least back in 2001 people had a chance to sell their Dreamcast before the uninformed general public came to know Sega was going to stop supporting it.

Remember Splinter Cell in 2002? SWOR 2003, halo 2 2004. The OG set a foundation and the 360 took it to another level until around 2012. Since then XBOX faltered and was never the same.

I bet you Phil is in a world of buyer's remorse. All eyes are on him both in MS and the rest of the gaming world. Scratch that, the entire business world is looking at him and this acquisition and scratching their heads.
Agreed. And right now the handheld pc market is already oversaturated. Steamdeck, Rog Ally, The Claw, Lenovo Legion and at least three other brands. I think they too late to the party here too.

OMG. Give it a rest. Sony will do what Sony has always done. What it has done before the OG XBOX; make great critically acclaimed games.
Everybody except those in denial said this would be the outcome. Once that Activision Blizzard purchase went through it became one of the largest dollar valued acquisitions in the States. Of course it meant that XBOX would be dragged under the microscope of the Board and investors. It was then that XBOX stopped being a pet project and now had to show its metal.

Im loyal to great games and good practises. Have a dreamcast, a 360, various nintendo consoles.
I refuse to support active attempts to consolidate my hobby and constant excuses as to why its taking your brand a 12 years to right your ship.
The deck has its place, but it will never replace a console for me.
Why are you grouping PS in with XBOX? PS is doing very well globally even with a very slim first party slate this year.
XBOX is not the console industry. XBOX was never the console standard since 2001.
Steamdeck on its way. Friend is replacing it with Rog Ally X and selling his 64gb deck to me on the cheap. Im PC adverse but apparently the deck gives a console like experience. Going to get a dock to hook to TV.
