XGC is not a mandatory feature. But what I think most people are not understanding is that fact that you would be chatting with your friends NOT strangers.
A lot of people get the wrong idea about XGC. It's not a bunch of loud banter left and right. Unless for some reason you like to make friends with people who just love the sound of their own voice. All of my friends are decent normal people that talk when and if they need to.

I agree with Pennywise - There are too many instances to describe how XGC could be used to benefit the player(s). I'd love to have it over on the PS3. It just makes communication and interactivity an absolute breeze. I use it left and right on the 360.

These new animated themes are welcomed by all and will be used but the only thing this feature really offers, is nothing besides nice visuals for your desktop (Don't get me wrong. I'm excited for them).
But XGame Chat (A feature that speeds up communication/interactivity between gamers/friends) isn't needed/is useless and even if it was given to PS3 owners, they're already saying that they wouldn't bother to use it.

I usually get all my multiplats on 360 but I picked it up for PS3 last night. The joker content swayed a SHYT ton of people. Will be interesting to see how it'll affect sales for the 360 version.
