basically what you just said. halo 1 was redone already and was pretty good looking. all they have to do is upres it natively and probably chuck in a few extra effects.
2 would be basically the same as what they did with 1. however 2 has a lot more things going on and 343 have mentioned that 1080p 60fps would be pretty hard and would probably not be running at that.
3 & 4 was on 360. so they just gonna upres it natively and maybe add in a few extra effect...
in a sense. footage rendered from a 2 generation old console would never stand the chance against recent cgi cutscenes.
im not against cgi cutscenes since a lot of games use prerendered footage anyway.
cgi, or prerendered footage transitions to actual gameplay seamlessly now so it doesnt really matter, as long as the footage is entertaining then why now.
however the article should have stated that it was cgi footage.
or the possibility that it isnt really funny.
most jokes are not that funny when read out or if you are from a different country with different cultures.
if this is true in any sense, than maybe the next console would be a controller. basically have a controller that could connect to any device with a screen.
would be a quite cool concept.
i understand what you are saying. but if you read carefully i said most of the pc gamer i know. not most pc gamers.
i cant randomly say or predict what pc gamers are like so i wont generalise them together. just saying from what i know of my friends. im now a pc gamer so i dont know too many, but the ones i do know have similar set up
wasnt this suppose to be capped at 30fps due to how the engine worked? i remember hearing capcom say that this would be 30fps and if you do decide to unlock it then you may come up with some issues.
or did they change it?
wasnt this game capped at 30fps? how can a pc have trouble running this?
agreed. also your never going to get the games you mentioned above. sony has one more chance to revive the vita in the west and if that fails then its probably goodbye. japan seems like its getting a rebirth with the games its getting.
what i want to say is that you have a vita, its no point selling it. so have fun playing the indies and hope you will get atleast 1 aaa that you are interested in a year.
also like to say one promising feature that probably won...
aaa titles are great, especially jrpgs like ffx and persona4, even though they were ports.
what people dont see is that indie titles are probably more suitable for handhelds. well not just indie titles but smaller games in general that would probably cost around £10. i would love to get a scott pilgrim port for the vita.
thomas was alone is also a fantastic platformer, thoug it does look plain. the next game they making looks amazing, not sure if its for...
£1 is like $1.60 US.
prices may have chnaged quite a but since then. but normally if i was to order from play-asia which is basically from hong kong to uk. i would need to pay a premium on import tax if its above £15 or something and that tax would normally add around £15-20 on top of the game i purchased. so paying a small amount to avoid import tax is certainly the way to go.
not 100% sure if they still allow is though.
also...
im guessing if you are able to connect to a server within 1 hour and not get dc in game or in queue then its a success. well thats normally true for mmo games. not really sure how the servers work for destiny.
if there is problems, then i am not surprised, but will be dissapointed that they werent prepared.
@oni
never tried pre downloads yet, but i always thought that they schedule it correctly so that not everyone will download the game at the same time. was also thinking that they should use bittorrent style for preloads, i remember metal gear online for ps3 did this.
im just hoping that they are well prepared.
especially for the digital buyers. cos those could go wrong aswell.
they should have a very good estimate and should have everything set up.
side note: if psn digital version fails. it may be a good opportunity to buy the game and then complain to sony. they tend to refund you in credit and then let you kep the game. but if they dont, dont blame me :P
@giggman
alpha and beta trials for mmo also goes pretty smooth, however on launch day the servers get maxed out almost every time.
i do hope that the launch will go smoothly though, im not buying the game but hopefully the people who do, get to play it atleast within an hour of trying to play.
planetside 2 has already been out and i think share same servers as pc. shouldnt have too much problems.
now back to destiny, i think they both will be struggling with the numbers, its safe to say that history has shown us that big online games will have massive queueing problems and need to wait hours before a session. or get kicked out and have to wueue again.
its really sad but it will be an accomplishment if everything goes smoothly.and if it doesnt then ...
both sides of servers shouldnt be down.
they had beta testers. they got preorder numbers, they should have a good estimate of numbers buying game. they need or should have already prepared enough servers. bot sure how they work, but if they dont have enough around launch period then maybe rent some?
ea has had trouble in the past, most mmo has trouble, diablo 3 had it aswel.
if anything, ms has shown more stability, sony has higher chance of ...
tehy dont hate the xbone. they just have no interest in it.
maybe if they sold it around $100 less than the ps4 then it may sell over there. xbone and ps4 games are going to be very similar so why would they bother with xbone when ps4 has all the japanese games?
would like to add that the 360 was sold at a ridiculously cheap price in japan. think it was cheapest there than most other places which is strange since japan normally charges a lot for gaming.
wait, so you cant remaster a game that came out recently such as tlou because it is a cash grab,
and you cant remaster a game that was made for gc around 10 years ago, yet porting games like re4 is ok?
who gets to choose what is ok and what isnt ok?
resident evil was one of the most requested from fans for hd remaster.
well considering that drstiny was most likely going to be a halo mmo im not surprised of the similarities.
think there was a poster of destiny or something similar posted inside halo reach. i could be wrong though.
