I think it would have been better if it showed a disappointed image of kojima and text to describe what is going on in this scene instead of the cinematic.
I think it has lessened the gore in a physical way. not being able to see the intestines. But the horrofic/quality of the scene wasn't heavily impacted.
However, i do think that the quality of the scene was affected by the trailer released. If I didn't see that scene in the trailers then it would have been amazing to see it in the game. same complaints for MGSIV all the trailers spoil the best parts of the freaking game.
quite disturbing. nothing to freak out about though. Would have been a lot more effective if it wasn't shown in trailers. Also Ground Zeroes being so short kinda ruins that scene.
I'm guessing age ratings in Japan is taken seriously so if things are censored then they can aim for a bigger audience.
Games released in EU/US doesn't really care if they get a high age rating since its so freaking easy for a 10 year old to get access to said content.
@christian hour
I think Solidus was born in 72 and phantom pain is set in 84.
Solidus is only 12. Raiden supposedly was born in the 80's. Let's just say 1980, he would be around 4 so I highly doubt it. However if you play around with the years then maybe it is possible.
however, its not rare for timelines to be changed.
According to Phantom Pain trailer Big Boss was in a coma for 9 years. so thats between 1975-84 but ...
Was the pre-rendered scenes actually PS3 rendered scenes in real time then recorded into video format to cover the loading?
or was it pre-rendered from PC?
or maybe rendered on PS3 and then sped up to get the footage running on normal speed/framerates?
I'm curious to know and sorry if you don't understand my question.
anyways back on topic, game was rendered in engine so PS4 specs should easily be able to handle those models.
With a game looking like that does it need to be stated that it runs at 1080p/60fps?
I'm not a graphics whore, and the 2d graphics looks nice but it seems like people are just throwing this "1080p/60fps" like it actually means something.
VR (mainly project morpheus) does seem great, but its going to be one expensive tech that I'm not willing to spend on unless it gets the dev support.
I'm actually curious about how it feels though. When gamers move their head around in fps does it just move the viewpoint or does it move the aiming aswell?
I'm guessing if it's PS4 exclusive then it's just gonna end up like the PS Move.
I don't have PS Move but I heard that it is a great combo with some games and works surprisingly well with FPS. But I still didn't buy it.
Also will this be wireless/wired to console. wired to console probably means you have to be closer to TV and movement will definitely be affected. wireless means display lag?
I'm guessing it's going to be ve...
crytek should just start naming their games graphical benchmark 1,2,3 etc...
would probably sell an incredible amount as well.
got most info from http://forum.beyond3d.com/s...
and some random google searches since i wanted to know.
it was some approximation, haven't got a clue where they actually got this from, but it seems trustworthy.
@plastica-man
funny cos when i read that post it did seem anti-ps3-ish well not anti but it gave that impression for some odd reason...
85k is more than enough IMO.
For comparisons sake:
Jak 2 - Jak = 10,000
Uncharted 2 - Drake = 37,000
FFXIII - Lightning = 8,488
Tomb Raider Underworld - Lara = 32,816
Trilight Princess - Link = 6,900
Heavenly Sword - Nariko = 23,620
God of War 3 - Kratos = 22,000
MGS3 - Big Boss = 4000
MGS4 - Old Snake = 5-10,000
Star Citizen - Pilot = 100,000
The Order 1886 - each main character ...
If all the so called Shenmue teases/rumors is pointing towards a PS4 exclusive.
This definitely confirms that SuckerPunch is creating an exclusive PS4 Zelda game :D:D:D
All the videos I've seen on youtube about the steam beta controller were pretty positive.
They did mention that it takes a while to get used to and is better for FPS then 360. However, if you are on PC and playing FPS I don't see the point of trying to use a gamepad.
If you not playing FPS with that controller, then that controller is pointless.
360 pad kinda fits my hand perfectly and probably for most other people with different size hands but it always felt weird when i try to press buttons or even use the controller.
I've always liked Playstation controllers but after using DS4, the older pads jst kinda sucks. Would love to try the xbone one aswell.
It just seems like Valve doesn't know who to market the steambox to.
Mouse and keyboard is definitely the best option for most games, but for others, like platformers, sports, or "console" games it just doesn't work.
However, this gamepad just seems like its trying to replace a keyboard and mouse. Therefore it's not as good as a keyboard and mouse for FPS and not as good as a gamepad for games like FIFA.
The hair in that GIF is pretty amazing and they didn't even make a big deal out of it unlike Tomb Raider.
Naughty Dog games for PS3 has been pretty amazing but screenshots doesn't really show how great it is. I've always been impressed with the animations. Uncharted graphically would have just been ok if it wasn't for the animations.
What's the point in showing us a tech demo.
We all know that the final game will never look like this.
Think back at all the Watch Dogs comparison before :P
is this for PS4 only or for PC as well?
I can't really imagine console players to splash an extra £200-300 for a VR headset. Well not that many people anyway.
The casuals definitely won't go for this since it's way too geeky and freaky in a way.
My nerdy side wants to try it out but most likely would never want to play that in the long run.
i had the impression it was running on 3 4k monitors. Guess I was wrong.
