I don't really think they are milking gamers though. Most people won't give them the funds kickstarter is the way to fund them.
I mean before that people had to probably save up enough money to take a year or 2 off work so that they can concentrate on making a game. now kickstarter is around they don't need to save up money anymore.
not really taking advantage. It's more like a safer option. Some people take out loans, mortgages etc... to get the investment for their businesses, which is a huge risk for something that may not succeed. Kickstarter just gives the people an initial investment to start their product, hence the name kickstarter.

Also having different game modes isn't that great of an idea. Not many people would be bothered with hard mode knowing that people playing normal mode gets to see the ending.
i understand why some games being easy is good for it. But sometimes it's just ridiculous. Uncharted can be a good example. Sometimes I want to figure out a puzzle, but immediately it gives you hints. Also those puzzles were a joke.

I'm guessing he was just joking. A lot of commenters on this site loves to think that MS pays devs to dumb down another version of the game. They don't seem to want to admit that PS3 needs a lot more optimisation then the 360 because of the cell processor, the supposedly weaker GPU and its RAM.

I'm not really sanctioning rape. I'm just saying that having control over something is more disturing then seeing it in a cutscene. I remember hearing about the COD airport scene where you shoot a bunch of civilians, that sounds disturbing.

Those guys in TR were guys in an island and someone that they are capturing is hot, a villian in a movie would choose to rape her 99.999% of the time.

Riht at this moment, I would definitely pay $500, I mean I was thinking that £800 was my max. But when they actually start a crowdfund project, I probably back out due to money can go elsewhere and I can easily wait until the game is out and then pay retail.
Agreed. If Shenmue were to do a crowdfunding project then it would be better to just start one themselves.
Sadly, I'd rather splash $500 on a game for myself then give to charity where I won't know where the money goes to and how much the charity foundation itself would pocket to pay wages for their staff.
