power of the cloud? kinda similar to when sony was talking about maximg the power of the cell.

anyway, the title is used to sell the idea to devs.

who would listen if it just said. cloud compute," just give it a try. it may benefit the game"

i feel that in 3-4 years, we will see exclusive devs like naughty dog pretty much push the console to its limits.

wow equal agrees and disagrees. kinda rare to see that.

anyways, dev conferences is the only place ms can talk about this.

devs will want to hear about this and how they could implement it. its a new concept in a sense and just random things like drivatars are not the way to go.

i really do wish for this tech to be of good use and would be very very interesting to see what happens in 5 or so years.

definitely. it would do wonders for security.

the tech itself can be used for a variety of things. maybe even help people with disablities of some kind. not sure what though. maybe something for blind people, obviously not the visual side, but usings its 3d motion detect maybe a super cheapway to help them with detecing objects in front of them.

theres a big sifference between releasing a product for consoles and releasing a product for pc.

kinect iis or was supposed to boost sales for the consoles therefore not needing to make money from the kinect directly. for the pc, the kinect will mot be making money from console sales or console games so it needs to make money off the hardware.

a rough guess for that tech would be around $75 for components only, that is excluding all r&d costs. and then th...

it can, but i really doubt it. this service is only available for ps3 games which will be outdated in a couple of years.

if it is for new games then it will just be compared to actual rental services that could do it for relatively cheaper. i dunno, maybe in 5 years time we would see sony move onto ps4 games.

disaster report looked cool, it was shame that they had to cancel the game. i mean it made lots of sense, but still sad that i didnt get to play it.

eight days was also quite interesting.

i just hope that they can maybe make these games for this gen.

4382d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

it was kind of like opposite for me. when i saw the reveal ii thought it just looked kinda wierd. everything just looked to shiny.

then i saw the gameplay that wa shown after the game was cancelled and thought, why couldnt they release this game? what happened.

i mean the animations looked comparable to uncharted.

go youtube the released footage for actual gameplay. looked quite cool.

they should. but since getaway basically made london almost identical to real life its going to be tough when they do a reimagined london.

its just easier to set it in us since hollywood movies are mainly based there. its easier to make sterotypical characters where others can relate to.

the cities you named does sound cool, but hk has already been done recently. i also like to add that those places have very small roads and driving on it feels a lot harder then gta games. not sure people like that. i mean people complained about gta iv having hard driving mechanics.

not really sure if this is true, buts its plausible. i mean this engine isems like its ok for thsi gen and shouldnt really take too long for making another game.

a lot of people dont mod supercars is because it deprecciates the value of the car. however if you see rich people who dont care about that then you would see some crazy mods.

go to abu dhabi or other places and you will be amazed.

4382d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

not really. and its not remastered a re-release. its a remastered version. they havent released a remastered version of gta or tlou yet.

anyways, its not getting ridiculous. there is a market for it and it does not cater for everyone. just ignore it if you dont like it.

do i complain that there is a new phone every year, or if there is a redesigned console every 3 or so years? no. its not something i am interested. i mean george lucas remastered the original ...

imo, indie titles are closer to the low tier in terms of budget. it also has a booming market for those, which was created not too long ago. maybe apple started the chain reaction for this indie boom.

te article was talking about the smaller games such as murdered:soul suspect. those games could have been more succesful if it was marketed in a different way and probably would have done better with a smaller budget.

imagine that game released and was 50% cheap...

in a sense yes. but big publishers are always looking at the next big thing.

there is a mid tier that publishers could market to and maybe we need a new publishers that concentrate on those instead of aaa.

think of the £30/$40 games. its not a massive market atm and probably never will have one. but if we get a new publisher that wants to take big risks then they may be able to.

4382d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

in a sense, yes it is. however its the publishers in a sense that is destroying mid tier games.

kind of similar to is big corporate supermarkets killing smaller shops.

however it is upto game developers and publishers to set realistic budgets. a small team dev can either risk it with the big boys and try to top gears, cod, halo etc or make a game that caters to maybe 500k to a million where the budget allows them. you do not need to make a game with top tier ...

@mr writer85

i know sony made a better decision because they released it on ps4. ps3 is on the money making side at the moment. however, if you looked at ms, they have clearly moved on earlier then sony.

it was the right move for sony and ps3 to release those games. but it was not the right move for ps4.

hence i wrote in brackets not for sony or ps3.

im not talking about business, i am saying what would have been better for ...

hahaha. good summary.

4382d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

how was i wrong, if ps4 had the last 5 or so ps3 exclusives it would have been greater.

the probably wouldnt have been the best decision for sony or ps3 but would have been brilliant for ps4

4382d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

ps4's biggest problem (not sony or ps3) was that sony decided to support ps3 longer than ms did.

just think about all te exclusives that came out in the last 2 years.they all could have beenps4 exclusives.
