I don’t own the game but I have to give them credit for continuing to work on it and add content.
@medman nothing personal against Ps players but I’ve lost way too much save data and it takes ages to reinstall everything after an offline update. The crashes always happened on new games around launch which is expected but the effect because of that was unbearable. If cloud saves was free I’d of been less annoyed.

£52 is still pretty high for a game that’s on sale but it’s a bigger discount then Nintendo offers on there games.
The fact that the console still has corruption and rest mode problems from last generation is a big warning sign for me. I’ve had to offline update my nephews PS5 3 times since launch and rest mode wasn’t used after the second corruption.
I put up a with this crap last generation, I’m not doing it again.

Hollow Knight come damn near close to knocking Super Metroid from the top of my list, that’s a huge achievement for such a small team.
The problem for me is I’ve been waiting for a 2D Metroid that beats Super but I don’t think I’ll ever see that day. I still play the original 1-2 times a year and a few randomiser plays.

It definitely seems that way. On one hand Gamepass and Xcloud was an essential part of there strategy so I can understand that but on the other people will be pissed to know there was less stock of series X consoles.
We don’t have all the information or figures but Xcloud was planned before the release of consoles and pre pandemic. This was always the plan and prioritising consoles or Xcloud was always going to annoy the other side.
Katana Zero is so damn good, my first play took around 8 hours and I didn’t put the pad down. Glad to see this game mentioned somewhere but it deserves more praise then just being short title.
Ori 1 is not a very long game. First play on Hard was around 6 hours to finish.
Hellblade. Approx 7 hours
What remains of Edith Finch (no way I could leave this masterpiece out)

Series S and X
Died at the end of a mission and got stuck in a loading loop. I could hear my character taking damage and dying repeatedly but the screen was stuck on loading. Lost all loot for the mission and it was a on a punishing
The game lags when using elevators and has disconnection issues.
Apart from that I like the game but it won’t last long in this state, especially if updates don’t release quick enough. The lack of a Mage class was also disappointing.
I skipped this game at first because the name made me assume it was like Minecraft or Terraria but it’s nothing like that. The mining aspect is very light and it’s as simple as collecting bits of gold for currency here and there.

Full agree. I haven’t enjoyed one since 12 but even that wasn’t as good as 10,9,8,7 it’s hard for me to get excited about the series these days.
The Soundtracks are one of my favourite parts about the games but the newer ones are very forgettable. I’m not going to be feeling nostalgic about them in 15 years time I can say that much.

Doom Eternal is actually getting a free next generation update on June 29th, I was surprised to not see that mentioned as it would be more fitting for a June recommendation.
I agree with dsammy04, there’s a lot of hidden Gems on Gamepass that are easily overlooked, most people are aware of the obvious ones. Personally I’d love to hear about the lesser known and newly released titles.
It sold well on Xbox without factoring profits from a deal with gamepass. As it launched in gamepass day 1 they can only speculate how it might done with the out launching there.
Disclaimers most likely stop them from revealing figures so they would have to be careful with wording but if you had the sales data of all platforms it shouldn’t be difficult to get an estimate of how many played via gamepass.

Not a huge fan of the art style but I did enjoy playing the demo.
Controls need some polish and a few graphical bugs like being able to see below the map but it’s a few months from release so these should easily be sorted before then.
I know it’s not possible with this title but it’s always nice to have a variety of performance modes and options.
I still think this update is amazing and given the choice I would be opting for the ray tracing on this game, even on the series S. if the game was 30FPS with raytracing then my option would be different.
That first encounter when SA-X gets a close up and you can see the face👀 that was very well done.
Beautiful games and ported very well to Switch. My favourite Series on Xbox last gen.
I wish it released on PlayStation just so more people could play it, most Xbox players probably haven’t bothered to try it out.
Looking forward to whatever Moon Studios is working on next, they have a lot of talent for writing and level design.
