These 2 brands are using AMD next gen chips for their new consoles so both have an idea of what their comp will be using next gen. I just dont want both to be mid range pc consoles but high end so devs will not be held back next gen by the weaker console on multiplats. Xbox 360 and Ps3 were powerful high end pc consoles compared to X1 and Ps4 outdated cpu garbage.
Yup the CEO seems to have a much bigger plan than just PS with the new partnership. He doesn't care about ps exclusives being played on Xbox if its makes more profits. Great for his business terrible for ps fanboys.
The CEO is saying imo ps is a niche market to him right now and their new cloud partnership with Microsoft will expand to other areas than just PS to explore new markets. He seems to have a bigger plan than just the console market with the collaboration.

Microsoft had to many internal issues this gen to even be competitive, but now that those issues are out the way expect very stiff competition from them next gen. They are serious this time with the Xbox division next gen even Sony knows it which is why they partnered.
