Some of the games you mention are on other systems. The only game you mention that my kids would show any intrest in would be Lego City. My answer is maybe. I bought a wiiu for my kids last xmas and they played Mario for a couple of weeks and then that was about it. We have rented a few games for it since then but nothing great. The system has just been siting there. My kids are back to playing some minecraft and there handhelds (nexus, vita, 3ds) and now that spring is almost here they will be back outside. Yes when you buy from itunes you can only use it on idevices unless you pay a little more for DRM free. This is why I don't own apple products!
Haha I remember when COD reused some buildings and everyone went nuts (not to mention engine, and just about everything in that game). But I guess that is ok now so we can cut down developement time.
The problem with the Wiiu is the stupid name. Should have been called the Wii2. I had friends over and showed them Nintedoland and they said how much is the tablet. They thought it was an addon to the system. Once I told them it was actually a whole new system they weren't intrested anymore. To many people who don't go to game sites think this think is an addon.
I have a WiiU and it is dusty.

I am 34 and completely disagree with you. I poo poo on Nintendo just for the fact that they just havent matured as a console. I have grown out of it. My kids love it. But for me I moved on.

I don't sell my old consoles or games but I get his point. I hardly ever go back and play old games of previous generations. They just do have the same impact playing them again. They only games I have replayed this gen are Uncharted 2, Infamous 2 to play the evil side, and I think that is it. I think the problem is that Nintendo didn't grow old with us. Sony has grown up each gen. They started with cartoony games on the ps1 and have evolved with each console while still having classic games. Nintendo just hasn't grown up with me. They still make the same old games with the same old faces. I will miss you nintendo.
The Last of Us looks to bring back Survival. This game looks to bring back Survival and Horror! While this looks good in live action without gameplay I will not try to get to excited.
