I think if you are buying a 360 now you should definitely get the 360S simply because +$50 for an extra 130GBs and WiFi is not a bad deal.
If I buy a 360 (which I might this year) I will get a slim it looks nicer too.

The best way would be the PS3 with a 3DTV.
Just like Avatar anything 3D helps atm and remember Sony is the one who is making the cameras etc for the 3D movies that will play on the 3DS.

Obviously not you but a lot of people don't have the exact same arrangement as you do in your house.
Some have the router in the living room and the 360 in their rooms 30 ft away do you want them to drill holes and have a cable run through them?
I even bought a WiFi adapter for my desktop its not a fanboy argument some people NEED WiFi.
