I hate to tell you that's not true I know plenty of moms, dads and casual gamers who were/are well aware of the issues MS's created for itself.
The issue MS faces is how do they get consumer trust back...it's a problem that could last for several years. The fear of MS flipping the switch again down the road is a large factor for why many hardcore/casual gamer and non-gamer alike are reluctant to buy an XB1.

If a game was initially intended to be on your console of choice and then went Multiplatform then from what we have seen in the past is that the quality suffered because of the change from exclusive to multiplat.
But you are right saying that a game would be better if it was on your only console then yeah you probably are just a turd.
I personally love my PS4's, PS3's, Wii U, Vita and 3DS and I think as gamers we need to learn to be happy for the game...

Hardcore gamer is very subjective because I know a lot of people who think they are hardcore gamers but they started gaming during the PS2/Original XBOX era and only really play FPS's. To me if all you play is FPS...

When they 1st showed off the Rhei Engine it was to let us know what they would be able to achieve with the new engine.
Remember games don't go into major graphics polish until the last 3 to 4 months of development.
Take a look at actual tech demo footage of what the tech allows them to do in the game. There is also a 30 min vid on Youtube demonstrating the fluid flame tech when time is stopped/slowed down.

I'm dying to get both inFamous Second Son and Withcer 3 but both are amazing in their own ways.
Just from the released trailers and screen shots both titles out do each other specific areas. inFamous characters look better in the texture and animation department while Wither seems to have better environmental effects.

Every developer has a style and saying one title plays the same as another shows you don't know how game development works at all.

I've had my PS4s since launch day and I've never ran out of battery while playing and I've beaten all of my games minus AC4...at 76%. Bro use your eyes those are scratches and gouges not rub marks. Excessive rubbing leaves a different wear pattern than sharp indents with curvatures in the shape of finger nails. Also those are clear puncture marks.

Since tech advances and price drops every 8 to 14 months best believe as all of these RAM prices fall in the next year or so you will see price drops around mid 2015 for both companies.
Remember they are not just competing with each other but tablets have eaten small parts of consumer purchases and that will continue as well as those while few decide to get steam machines.
These other contributing factors will force price drops especially prior to actual part...
