The meaning of that is since a pointer is just a memory address it can be used as the starting point for an array. ie if p is your pointer p+4 is 4 bits higher in memory. v[0] would be the start of an array, v[1] would be higher in memory etc

Although it's a wonder my ps3(launch 60GB) is still going, I have 4 brothers who play it and since school was out it is on pretty much 24/7, with some of my brothers getting up early and others being up late. Off at most 3 hours a day I'd estimate.

I think kinect will do better early on at least, since ms are putting everything behind it. The problem with ms is they are just copying the wii's strategies and before that were copying sony's, sony have always been themselves and so have nintendo. I think knowing yourself is important.
They used a Square Enix for ms(fair enough) but then used peter molyneux as an example of a dev who didn't like the move...
The experience feels a bit cheapened now... The first time you got a rattata and squirtle or whatever was awesome, then the next round was awesome but there are too many now:(
