@loser It isn't just the ps3 fans, the 360 fans do it too, they would be delighted to see this get a 2. The same thing happens in the 360 section on a regular basis.
They are really pushing boundaries with digital distribution servers. 6GBs is the size of 360 game.
Delusional bastard. ylod happens to 0.5% of consoles. Microsoft won't even tell anyone how many it happens to because they know it will shock everyone. RROD is due to manufacturing defects present in almost all consoles, ylod can be due to many different things, it is just a light which means something is wrong.
Just because the 360 has rrod doesn't mean the ps3 should get in trouble too. The ylod occurs with 0.5% of consoles.
It sounds like harmless observations but there are vicious threats in there.
He didn't say that only 0.5% failed he said that 0.5% were affected by ylod. Some are ylod, but it isn't a particular fault which causes it, it is just a general indicator that something is wrong, whereas rrod was an actual defect caused by bad design.
Edit: They reported on the 360 disc scratching but not the many other hardware failures. They are trying to paint the ylod(.5% affected) as ...

A lot of sites just hopped on the no career mode excuse, giving gran turismo a bad score would get them hits for sure. It's a portable title, it has vast amounts of content, the driving is superb. That's all I need to know to give it a high score. 6.7 is just way too low for a game of this quality and I think they'll regret this score in a year when they are still playing it.

It looked like they went for quantity way ahead of quality, and I feel like IGN wanted to give it a lower score but they have a hard time giving exclusives low scores these days. For some multiplats he says 360, for others he says ps3. For saints row 2 it says ps3. He should have put both for each though, instead of 4 multiplats saying 360 only.
The wii as a piece of technology isn't worth $250, but because people want it they can charge that price. Same here, it can't have cost them much to make but people want it and due to supply and demand, they can charge it.
So how is this their fault? Ms are accused of greed if a developer wants to make dlc free but MS insists on a price(and rightly so)

But they probably were early adopters of the system. The rate for the current ones probably isn't as high. The ps3 60Gb failure rate is very high as well though not near the 360, and accounts for most of that 10% people were seeing(since people who were online to vote probably would have been into gaming enough to get a ps3 early). I would like to see ms official numbers but the rate isn't good enough to release.
