I would like to add that Ubisoft sucks for:
A) Ruining the Ghost Recon series with Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2
B) Never fixing the PS3 online issues in games such as HAWX, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2
C) Not coming out with a new Rainbow Six in the foreseeable future
Many items have gone for hundreds of thousands of dollars. The most expensive item sold, per Wikipedia, went for $635,000. What if the game is a front for illegal activity with people getting paid for doing "business" through the selling and purchasing of game items? What if this was being used by terrorist to store and transfer money since they can no longer use banks or financial institutions? What if? :O
Does anyone know if the online for the PS3 version works well? In the past, Ubisoft hasn't been able to properly do the online with any game on the PS3.
@seinfan
Check my math and logic, but since the new laser is 20x better than Blu-ray's, it almost sounds like the density per layer should be increased by the same amount. 25GB (per layer for current Blu-ray) x 20 = 500GB per layer. Since Pioneer developed a 20 layer Blu-ray disk, this new tech has the potential to have a capacity of 10TB. So I guess it could be the tech you're talking about???????????
HHG was so worried about his cameraman's hungry belly that he forgot to get footage of the new tech demos that Anton talked about earlier in the interview!
The sleeves are ribbed for your pleasure
Yes, it definitely is overhyped. I saw the E3 gameplay footage and was not impressed. It looked like any other sci-fi shooter.
Rage, on the other hand, blew me away!
Can you imagine a lightsaber attachment for the Move? I'd probably end up breaking it, or something else, inside of a week, lol.
It would be incredible if you could use one Move with a gun attachment and switch to another Move with a gun attachment as your secondary weapon when you run out of ammo.
Oh well, a boy can dream can't he?
This was a genius move by Sony. Force Kojima to wear a bracelet that has the Playstation name for all to see during his evening shmoozing with media/celebrities/VIP's. Much better than Microsoft advertising in hotel bathrooms. LOL
Can you imagine this with Move? Dual lightsabers with two Move controllers! Makes me want to cry tears of joy! Maybe I'll start taking Escrima lessons again to prepare, lol.
Killzone 3 vs Gears of War 3
Resistance 3 vs Halo Reach
I love competition!
I was actually excited about this feature, but then realized it's limitations. I don't see a reason for them to limit the amount of storage you can access off of a USB storage device or the number of storage devices. It wouldn't really compete with their overpriced internal drives since USB connected storage is too slow in comparison. The PS3 allows for all the storage to be accessed on a USB drive as long as it's formatted properly. I guess the new feature is better than nothing.
...
I know. All these hints/teasers are getting annoying. We all know it's Twisted Metal, so just tell us and start giving us pics/video! Stop acting like we're all clueless.
I'm sure they're trying to do something with Sony in the near future instead of continuing to ignore them. The reason...Crytek Engine 3!!!
They fear the competition, and with good reason. They're scrambling to make everyone happy now.
Medal of Honor, Halo Reach, Ghost Recon, Crysis 2, COD, and Resistance 3 (you know it's coming). Since I mostly play shooters, I'm going to have a very merry Christmas!
Let's keep our fingers crossed that they're taking full advantage of the hardware. If they've upped the graphics while still keeping everything smooth online, it'll be amazing.
Wow, I'm predicting 5mil sold in the first week, lol. Imagine if they release a 3D patch for this after release!!!
@DSI below - Calm down. This isn't meant to be porn. It's supposed to immerse you into the world of the game, not for you to whack one off.
They need to release this soon while people are getting fit for summer as well as fulfilling their New Year's resolutions!
I see this working well with both Natal and PS3 Eye/wand. Hopefully they're different experiences that take advantage of the features of each.
A 25GB Blu-ray would take around 4min to download. The network is 1 gigabit per second, not 1 gigabyte per second. Still insanely fast.
LOL, you can see/hear him in the background
