ms had 3d avatars for their messenger way before the miis existed.
there were 3d avatars before the miis, even from Microsoft themselves (for the live messenger)
I have both, and I cant see how anyone can say that PSN is near Live. Its not bad of course, but its not on the same level as live. And while this guy is talking and talking, MS is preparing the fall update which will give them new ground again.
Ingame-XMB is also currently pretty much useless besides sending messages, 90% of the functions you have to get out of the game first...
I finally got a PS3. While the interface is really nice, the features and comfort from Live is missing right now. So as long as PSN is not on par with Live they will keep charging. But they are definitely on their way...
People have no problem paying, and to be honest neither do I as long as the service is good.
FF on 360 means less console sales for PS3. Every FFXIII sold on 360 is a potential no-buy of the PS3 hardware.
360 DOES upscale already...but only @VGA or HDMI.
Well Sony did present more shooters on their E3 press conference than MS did.
MS has more rpgs in the pipeline than the PS3. Face it, the 360 is the current RPG console.
So much damage control going on here its ridiculous ;)
"360 owners wont buy the game" is the lamest excuse ever and doesnt even make any sense, just look at former PS3 exclusives that pulled "the FFXIII" already - DMC4 and GTAIV
I betting that the US version will sell better on 360 than PS3.
FFXIII does depend on PS3 sales. Those are not as good as everyone thought at the beginning of the generation. Otherwise it would still be exclus...
Graphical representation of achievements were always there, so thats why no one made such an fuss about it.
Final Fantasy XIII
Well yes I know but if we are talking about loyalty then Squaresoft should have sticked, right? ;)
Sony is in a similar position now. Small userbase, expensive hardware...so SE goes where the money is, once again, Sony is lucky that they dont end up like Nintendo back then.
Serious? what happened to loyalty back in the FFVII days with Squaresoft and Nintendo? Come on...
Speculation, nothing more.
Official footage, right, who approves this stuff anyway? This is third party hardware from motus games and the footage is old.
Here, approve this too please:

title: official sony s-mote revealed :)
Same pad, same company, but one difference: Ps3 version.
I love the 360 pad, only the d-pad is really bad.
To me, it looks better than the current dashboard. Its better organised, there are way more shortcuts right from the start...yeah color and design are not the best, but you can change those. The navigation itself is what appeals to me.
All those sites take mirror.co.uk as source, who apparently just took the story from an year ago about the 1bil $ that ms has taken for RROD repairs...
This same stuff was reported exactly an year ago 07/06/2008
Mirror states that MS has sold 12 mio. consoles, which are also numbers from 2007
I cant believe this stuff gets approved.
This report is like an year old, wtf?
Switching the dvd every 20 hours or so isnt a concern for me. I switch more games a day if there is much to play, so no big deal, never was (good ol PS1 FF times)
Like getting FFXIII?
IMO, Mattrick does things way better than Moore. Mattrick is also a former dev so he is closer to things than any manager that just gets into the industry by accident ;)
I dont think that MS and Bungie have problems, if MS was willing to let them go (MS, letting something go, not really usual for them) then its probably a healthy relationship...but its definitely not perfect.
