From a gamer perspective, carts are definitely a bad choice. From a company perspective, maybe not such a bad choice. But I really don't see how Nintendo could have chosen differently, given it's a portable system.
If you only want to browse N4G, then I recommend using 'Tor' browser, through a free proxy searchengine, something like Startpage or Ixquick. You will get absolutely zero pop ups or adverts, but you do sacrifice some useability. However, for catching up with the main stories I find it perfect.
You're correct. It's not about deleting it, it why it's there in the first place. Good point
Don't even try to minimise this, because if you do, as with MT's, you will get what you deserve. It's crap and should not be there. Please don't downplay it.
Get used to it!! I mentioned this a few weeks ago,and people downplayed it on xbox, saying you could remove stuff -but that's not true! I hate this aspect of consoles. On both, there are apps and other elements that you simply can't remove. I also hate having this stuff forced on my console. So much so, that I will abandon consoles in favour of PC, if this becomes standard. At least if it can be removed or turned off on the Sony platform, that is to be welcomed, and I will restrict my...
This looks really fun, and that's why I've pre-ordered. People who have played it assure me that the only MT's are for cosmetic items, which is fine as long as they remain 'pirate themed'. If anyone knows different, make it known, because I'm not buying any game that has MT's that give you advantages.
With respect, you're reading way too much into my comment. It's a very short sentence,it's intention was to suggest that I believe Nintendo first party games will maintain enough sales for the switch to remain viable. I wasn't making comparisons to other consoles in terms of sales numbers or quality of software. I really don't care how many PS4's are sold, or how quickly they sold them. And I have no need of mantra's, at least not in terms of video games, which are ...
As long as Nintendo are releasing titles it'll be fine.
Still beats sociology in my book.
Well, at least we can all agree the the devs are the kind we all want in the industry. I'm sure Pro will get it's patch
I have little doubt the game itself will be good. However, adding MT's spell's disaster, unless it's purely cosmetic options, but I can't see that with EA at the helm.
This is a game you simply have to play in order to appreciate it's full splendor. It does look fantastic, not in an absolute count the pixels or resolution way, but in an immersive, visceral way. I've played most of the supposed competition, but nothing is remotely close. Just my opinion, other opinions do exist.
I disagree. All games benefit from higher frame rates. Sure some twitchers may 'need' it more than other games, but all games running smoother is a good thing. Just my opinion, other opinions do exist.
Warzone is a bit strong. I liken it to the unenlightened, enlightening the unenlightened.
Clearly not, otherwise I wouldn't have made the comment. :) It's nothing against the game, I'm quite keen to play it, but paying for a early access game that, by definition isn't complete.Well, that to me is just plain wrong.
I think the consensus here is that EA definitely messed up.I'm happy with that conclusion, not just for me, but for all gamers.
C'mon, you're PAYING for an early access mess and you think that's okay? If it was free, as it should be until it's finished, then ok, but this 25-30fps on X, why bother. If you support this precident, then you get what you deserve.
The hardware spec, exclusives like sea of thieves and SOD2, plus instant access to hundreds of improved BC and enhanced titles make this console well worth the outlay for me. However, charging people for an early access mess of a game like PUBG is nothing short of disgraceful, imo. It's a good deal without PUBG. I'm really not happy about anyone charging players to play early access games. This is a very bad precident to set, and gamers shouldn't support it! Just my opinion, other...
Everyone knows it's early access, and that's fine, but don't charge people for what is essentially, an absolute mess.
Exclusives are a thing, you're correct. And because of it, Nintendo will loose potential sales. Exclusives, are only a way to make the uninformed rally to a particular mantra. They do not benefit gamers as a whole. Just my opinion, other opinions do exist.
