I have to say that I do agree with your comment. I love the Wii U but it seems like Nintendo was unprepared and they admitted as much. To me they have no valid excuse. They have had years to study but not copy the competition. So things like online services and the manpower it takes to make a HD game should have been more thought out.
Believe it or not we knew the game was definitely coming to Vita but we were unclear if it was coming to the Wii U until it was announced in September which may have had a effect on the sales of the game. Most other people already preordered it for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Also don't forget most Nintendo fans were waiting to see if we were going to get DLC for the game as they have been burned in the past and we were right we did not receive any downloadable content.
In response to Jason, don't give me that BS they didn't really support Nintendo even before the first Nintendo Wii U was sold. For example there half assed ports of Fifa and Madden. They also wanted us to pay full price for Mass Effect 3 when the other consoles got the trilogy.

Thanks for the info. My Playstation + subscription is expiring tomorrow so I just did an in store pick up at Best Buy for a year's subscription for $39 - $20 Reward Certificate. I'm all set for the PS4 online multiplayer.
The Best Buy, Target, GameStop, Walmart, etc. all had the game available in my area. It is a really good game even if you never played any other Pikmin game before. I'm in Pennsylvania.

I'm in the U.S. and I don't know if I am able to subscribe to the Official Nintendo Magazine. I really wish I could get it because it is a worthy successor to Nintendo Power. It seems to have information that no one else has. It seems like a very good magazine a worthy successor to Nintendo Power

Do your research!! Nintendo almost always make a profit from their hardware starting day one of release. Every Wii was profitable from the beginning and they sold almost 100 million of those. If their hardware isn't profitable in the first year of release, it soon will be the second year and beyond.
It's powerful but has little to play. I bought both the 3DS and Vita on their respective release dates and I even bought a 3DSXL because I played the hell out of my 3DS. I like the Vita but it gets old quickly because I already have beaten the few must have titles for it.

@jessupj I think Microsoft has taken a look at the complaints about Xbox exclusives and I think they are going to try and address them. If they succeed in this, that remains to be determined. They are making efforts though as they will lean on third parties for exclusives and I read where they were buying up some studios and creating studios for more exclusives. The one thing about Microsoft is that they have very deep pockets.
@Foxgod You are entitled to buy whatever console you like and I think it's good that you picked the Xbox One for reasons of your own. The thing that I respected most about your post is you told us your choice, gave us your reasons, and did not bash others for their choice of consoles. I guess some of the fanboys felt threatened by your choice and that's why you have so many disagrees.
I agree with having more than one platform and when the Xbox One and PS4 release I will sit them next to my Wii U and gaming PC and be generation 8 complete. I have always been a multiple console owner since the Atari/Colecovision days. Getting a console at launch can be expensive as hell but I knew they were coming and I was able to save up for them.
