What it's saying is that in order to get the best experience you had to have bought a PS3 recently, therefore you have a big hard drive, and you need to get the PS3 Headset bundle. In comparison to what you need on the Xbox, you already have, the controller, the Online, etc.

They have been working on Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flags for 2 years now! So people that say it it rushed, you can think again! Same with Assassin's Creed 3, that was in production for 3 years. So it's wasn't rushed (maybe the ending). Ubisoft have a lot more than 1 studio, so they are fully able to create more than one game at the same time. The AnvilNext engine wasn't created just for one game, so Ubisoft would use the engine to the max, instead of using it for one game...
I really disagree with the whole, spend money to unlock things you can unlock for free by playing the game! I too noticed the flash of something on the screen, in the top left corner you see the box that appears when Kinect is listening. Must be a glitch of some sort, but I'm positive that it will be patched...
