If I own an Xbox and I want to play a ps game. I have to buy a ps4. Make space. Connect it to my tv. Use the exclusive gamepad. And if it is multiplayer buy additional gamepads. And then i can play.
If I use steam and I want a game from the epic game store. I click twice and that's it
It's just another launcher. I already have GOG Battle net and origin too.

Then the game was mediocre. But at least it sold millions and they fixed it. So I guess it was the right strategy
